This is really good app in the area for day to day travel. User friendly interface and very easy to operate but tickets. Also clearly show zones and what zone you located at

You can use the Midttrafik app to purchase single trip tickets, multiride tickets, transit tickets and youth cards for Midttrafik buses, Letbanen and Midtjyske Jernbaner.
Single trip tickets and multiride tickets purchased on the app cannot be used on Arriva or DSB trains.
Transit tickets and youth cards purchased on the app can be used for Midttrafik's buses, Letbanen, Midtjyske Jernbaner as well as Arriva's and DSB's trains.

Special tickets (for example, tickets to Djurs Sommerland)
You need to create an account and decide how to pay before you can use the Midtttrafik app.
You can pay using MobilePay, Apple Pay or register a payment card (Dankort, Visa, Visa/Dankort, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa Electron, American Express) to your account.
If your phone’s language settings are set to English, the Midttrafik app will use an English user interface. You can also switch the language in the settings menu.
Remember:
• Purchase your mobile ticket before you start your journey and before boarding.
• Make sure you have an internet connection to purchase your ticket, although you don’t need an internet connection to show your ticket.
• Make sure your phone has enough power for the whole journey so that you can present your ticket at the ticket control.
• Your phone must be intact so that the ticket is readable on the screen at the ticket control.
• Single trip tickets and multiride tickets purchased on the Midttrafik app are only valid within the Midttrafik region for journeys on Midttrafik buses or Midtjyske Jernbaner.
• Single trip tickets and multiride tickets purchased on the Midttrafik app are not valid for journeys on Arriva or DSB trains.

Impossible to use
I don’t know if it’s because I’m not using a Danish card but couldn’t get any form of payment to work, just constant messages to contact support. Very frustrating.
Good app. Few improvements to make it great
I used this app when working abroad (UK citizen in Aarhus, Denmark) for two weeks in May 2018. Overall the app is great. Payment is quick and you can get a ticket very easily... ... once you know where you are going. Aside from one trip from Aarhus to Ebeltoft, I mainly use this for commuting on one route. So, once I knew my route, I saved it as a favourite and I was sorted. At the beginning, it wasn’t so easy... The trouble with bus routes is that there are far more stops than with trains. So, finding out exactly what stop you need to take, and whether that falls into a 2- or 3- zone ticket is difficult; especially if you are not familiar with Aarhus. Long bus stop names can be hard to fit on an iPhone screen, and with all the øåæ in place names, it can be quite daunting for people from, e.g., the UK. But, the was bug-free when I used it, and helped me get from Å to B easily. I would recommend they test the app with more non-Jutland/Denmark natives to see how they find it. Maybe add a map function to check bus stops before booking? A pre-indication of what zone you may need? Route planning?
Easy to use and efficient
Used this to get bus tickets. Pretty straightforward to find bus stops closest to your location and destination so you can be relatively vague. Payment is straightforward and saved me a ton of money on cabs travelling round the Danish suburbs
