同じようなアプリに比べて、特に目立った特徴がないし、同じジャンルの無料アプリの方が、もっと使いやすいです。
Has potential with some unique features, but missing some basic functionality and overall annoying and questionably trustworthy. There are free apps that do most of what this app does, let alone less expensive options. Moreover, the fact that it doesn’t even let you login (ie, and see any of your learning history) after your free trial ends is, in my opinion, unacceptable, and what ultimately prompted me to even write this review. I’ve never seen a respectable app of this sort do this before, let alone an app that isn’t even fully built yet. I was still considering rating the app highly and even potentially paying for it, but when they blocked me from accessing literally any content after the free trial, that had me loose any desire for me to consider using this software in the future.
This app is easy to use and is nice to look at. As another person stated, at its current state it is best paired with the desktop app. However for someone who is one the go a lot it’s a very nice addition to have. As far as creating cards on mobile goes; even at this unfinished state it’s still better than other flashcards apps due to all the features you easily add to each card you create. I am excited to see future updates for this app.
Useless without a desktop
The first time I used Migaku was seriously like magic. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to make cards. One click and it’s done, even with DRM protected platforms like Netflix. The mobile app is fun to use too, with a clean interface. There are still kinks to work out — small bugs, and it’s lacking some features that would be super handy (mining sentences on my phone watching YouTube + Netflix would be amazing). Overall though, I’ve been very pleased with my experience, and I look forward to the updates they have planned.
The app has been working good for me so far. There are some issues. Sometimes when I briefly go to another app and come back, the flash card will not have any sound, and neither will any of the rest of the cards. I have to close the app and open it again. Also, will there ever be an offline mode? This is specific but when I take the train to school I go through a tunnel for about 15 minutes and have no service. On the Anki app that was no problem and it would still work. Is there anyway that can be brought to Migaku? If not, honestly I understand. The convenience that Migaku brings is more than enough the rest of the time. It’s been so helpful in my Japanese journey.
