Mindscope - Thought Organizer

The more that I use this the more useful it becomes. Exactly what it says - an outline tool with an intuitive interface. Just don’t plan to write a thesis with it but great to plan one out. A couple of minor interface improvements will make this more awesome

I started on this because a review compared it to the Mac app, Scapple, which I'm also a big fan of. I found it does function similarly more like Scapple than any iOS app I've used (not that I'm an expert on such apps) although one cannot control the look of individual elements as much and instead of using an infinite canvas it allow you to hyperlink between what it calls boards. I think this is actually better than an infinite canvas, but nevertheless an infinite canvas would not go astray. I like having the option of pure free-form arrangements, a big plus. Some improvements that could be made: (1) boards are not described in the guide, and this is needed because it takes a while to realize that you can only create a new board by editing the guide itself, which is very counterintuitive. (2) if you copy and paste a group of entries, it drops them exactly on top of the copied entries, such that you do not even realize they are there. And you cannot then move them as a bloc, because group-selecting copies both originals and copies. (3) I would like a side-menu option for undo/redo. I found the two-finger swiping unpredictable, and this seemed to be made worse by the fact that undo-ing did not always seem to undo the steps in the same sequence that they were done. I got to be rather anxious about each time I wanted to undo. All in all, however, I really like this app, and see myself using it a lot.

I like it, but unfortunately it doesn't work with bluetooth keyboards.

An excellent application with so much potential but getting no response from developer. Pity as it's really easy to use

I haven't played with app yet as, was chilling listening to some chillstep, opened app and vibe killed, so no dis to dev, just a thing that is a deal breaker for me(I have not updated iOS yet so maybe this isn't an issue, just sayin) peace.

Very handy for my thought mapping needs. Easy to learn how to use and very effective.

Hadn’t opened the app in a while and found that all my data was lost on the upgrade to iOS 15. Looks like the last update was 4 years ago. Sad but can no longer trust it so… delete

As a musician, writer, and teacher, scheduling is a must - this app is an essential tool!
