Minut Smart Home Sensor

I switched to Minut in January and this has been a fantastic solution in keeping my Airbnb’s safe from parties and guests smoking. Easy to use and integrates with hostaway. Would recommend!

I was an original backer of this project with 3 devices which I can no longer access without a paid account. I don’t need all the extra or remote services, I just want to be able to see them on my phone but they’ve taken away that option. They’ve created a lot more dead devices in the world. Great, well done.

I’ve not used my old school Minut for about six months, I’ve come back to it and everything has gone to pot. My previous inclusive plan has expired; the app gives an error message; I can log in to the website but trying to subscribe to a new paid plan gives an error; I have no way of administering my device; I don’t even know if it is still supported; and I can find no info on the Minit site. Did I offend someone?

Bought this unit two years ago on the clear understanding that there were no charges to use the device for monitoring my own home. Now they are holding us to ransom for £120 per annum to continue using the device. I’ve offered suggestions to remove some of the more advanced features but leave simple monitoring in place for temp, humidity etc. even the best feature of automatic night light is disabled which would have at least made it useful. So met with an uncaring dismissive attitude to my questions, I have to say the perfectly functional device will be going into landfill. How the company can continue to operate by turning their back on early adopters is beyond me. I hope they learn from this feedback (if they even read it) and look into offering a free basic tier before it’s too late.

When I bought the unit it was free from subscription. Now several years later they want to charge a subscription. I want my money back as I only bought it as it was subscription free. Out of order!!

I purchased a number of these Minut units a couple of years ago, spending hundreds of pounds on hardware. Minut.com have now told me I need to give the hundreds of pounds each year to keep the units operational or they will stop working. They did not inform me at the time of purchase they they would try to force me onto a subscription. If they had I would not have purchased them in the fist place. I consider the company to be extremely unethical with little regard for their customers.

Was great. Latest App update requires my left big toe size. I can no longer access the device which worked fine for years.

This Device is just Brilliant it has saved my Airbnb from guests disturbing my neighbor's. i am in complete control of noise monitoring heat and guest numbers. i can not recommend this device enough it is a brilliant piece of kit

Appalling app and service, have emailed to bring glitches and issues to their attention, not reply and not fixed, paid £180 for subscription upfront and it doesn’t work. Will be contacting credit card company

I have 2 in my property- I can set the alarm if property is unoccupied. I can check when guests arrive and leave without being intrusive to visual or audio ‘ spying’. There is a night light feature and an alarm notification should the C02 detector alarm. It’s fabulous- the only downside is guests could easily disarm if they knew to switch off the wifi but that hasn’t happened yet!
