This app would off the scale amazing if you actually load some audio into it. The soundcloud link doesn’t work and also the Apple Music are the wrong type of file. Is this app even being supported anymore? Apologies if it’s because of my slightly older phone but been trying to get this to work for a couple of years on and off. Giving it 3 stars in the hope they sort it out.
I’ve been looking for the longest time for a plug-in or app to simulate vinyl scratching so I can scratch on top of my beats. This app does that but because of the layout on iPhone I can’t record anything, either that or the record button is underneath some fat banner about connecting a mixfader (I can see that it hides some features). I understand the point of the mixfader and if I had the money to get one I would but I don’t, but I definitely shouldn’t have to spend close to £100 to remove that banner, a simple x would suffice, especially when it’s blocking useful features! The actual scratching feature on this works great and if you have an iPad I’m sure you won’t have any of these problems. Would happily give 5 stars if a few kinks were ironed out.
It has the N word in one of the tracks
This is simply amazing!! I’ve been trying to scratch on my new DJ controller (Reloop Mixon 4) for a week or so and I just couldn’t do it with my ‘sitting down with controller on coffee table’ setup. I couldn’t even get a bite or a buzz. It was just frustrating and hurting my back. So I thought I’d try the Mixfader and it is absolutely awesome! You can sit back and relax and do it. Everything is in one place, on you iPad or iPhone, tutorials and all. I absolutely love it! If you want to learn to a scratch I highly recommend you do it a mixfader first!
To the developers: the scratch community are lucky to have you because this app is simply excellent. Mega low latency DVS solution on the iPad. Lots of great features and solid low latency scratching. Blissful. The mixfader Bluetooth cross fader is a great Piece of portable scratch equipment, offering a lightweight cross fader solution with super tight cuts. It’s a must have. Thumbs up.
As above, all the tutorials and q&a's don't work for iPhone including the location of the record button. App should have better iPhone support.
App is now rubbish, when you connect the USB it won't let you use real vinyl or serato as it keeps saying "you have to connect an audio device"
Such a great app to get the basics down and start using your Mixfader. Don't waste time, download and have fun.
This app is a great compliment to the recently launched Mixfader. Not sure how I can see more than the first 20 of the top 100 mixes though and some animation of the whole turntable would be a nice addition to give a more realistic vinyl feel. Would be great to create more of a community and allow feedback on other peoples mixes too. (Mixstagram?) :p keep it up and it'll soon be 5*'s 👍🏼
