No longer works
Can’t connect to any server, says url is not supported. No molecules pre loaded on app. If I have to download everything manually it’s not worth much, I can just use Google and look at stuff on a browser.
Yes, Molecules is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.

Fairly Good. I didnt get any crashes. Im fine with not being able to build molecules. However it would be better for us if we were to be able to scroll through all downloadable molecular structures without having to search at least one letter. Plus Im a newbie so it would be great if there was a colour key for iphone.
If you're getting for undergrad/grad level bio it's great. But it's only bio molecules, inorganic chemists won't find anything useful. Only proteins and such.
It needs a red cyan visual mode. You can put another setting that allows people with 3D glasses to visualize these molecules more effectively.
simple yet intuitive app
It is really interesting! I love it! The only thing that should be modified is the rotation code. I noticed that the focal point changes when you drag the molecule with 2 fingers, so when you rotate it again, the molecule flies off. Maybe keep the focal point at the center of the molecule, and just shift the point of view.
While it lacks some detail (type of bond, etc) the overall app is really neat
Clean, logical interface with on line access to pubchem and protein databases.
About as much as one would expect, given that this app is free. Okay for visualizing spacial arrangement of atoms within molecules but, as previous reviewer mentioned, no multiple bonds are shown. And don't rely on this app showing you the true stereochemical arrangement of molecules, e.g., maleic and fumaric acids are cis and trans isomers (or E/Z configurations) of but-2-enedioic acid but the molecule for each shows just the cis (Z) isomer. So,don't use this app as a reliable learning tool for stereochmistry.
Awesome app!
