I have played this game for almost five years without ever spending any money and here are some ideas I have thought of.
- A custom game mode, where you can select your enemies, their runes, their relics, and their level.
- A marketplace where players can sell duplicate monsters for whatever price they want. This could replace the very small amount of gold you get for selling a monster. (This could be globally or just with the team.)
- A third layer of customization for the player avatar like a shade or a background color.
- Survival dungeons will also save opponents life if you loose.
