Description

This application is designed to be used with the Mopeka TankCheck sensor. The Tank Check application can measure the LPG propane level to tell you the exact fill level and when your tank is empty. It can be used on tanks found in RVs, heaters, BBQ grills, etc. The Tank Check sensors are magnetically stuck to the bottom of your propane tank and will periodically measure and wirelessly send the fill level or percentage to the Tank Check app. Stick it on the bottom of your tank and know exactly when you are running low on propane! This technology is patent pending.

More info about the TankCheck Sensor and links to purchase the sensors can be found on the Mopeka website at http://www.mopeka.com

Usage:
1. To pair your Tank Check sensor to the phone, simply press the "Sync" button on the back of the sensor while the app's main screen is visible. The first time you use your Tank Check sensor you must press the "Sync" button 5 times in a row in order to wake up the sensor.
2. Place the Tank Check sensor in the center of the underside of the tank. Most tanks have a small "flat" spot on the center and this is the nominal location for the sensor.
3. Flip the tank over. Once the fluid has settled the app will display a reading. Note that the LPG fluid will be sloshing around in the tank for a few minutes and the quality of the measurements will be low until this has stabilized.

Good when it works

Old Womble on

Fitted to our underslung tank and it seems to work fine until I get low on gas. After reading 13% the readings started to get higher until I ran out of gas at 53%!!!

Sensors often disconnect from App

Mister Griffiths on

On several occasions I have had to resync my sensors, our van was away being serviced and on return the app couldn’t find sensors. Happens sometimes when Bluetooth connection is disrupted. Really annoying and time wasting.

Just follow the instructions

Bob Clewley on

Works a treat on our Gaslow system. I have a twin bottle setup and at the moment only one sensor. I will be buying a second for the other bottle. It works as I expected. You just have to follow the instructions

Worked like a dream .... for 2 weeks

Cjm1000 on

Initially was amazing and accurate ... after a couple of weeks could not get a signal , reconnected manually and got the signal once and then no more . Great idea but poor app and device

Why delete device on update?

vintageb3 on

A warning should be given if the app is going to delete the Bluetooth device. Having to press the button is most inconvenient when the bottle is full and in a gas locker if a motorhome. Poor show!

Annoyed!

Elstead4 on

So annoyed that the latest update has wiped the sensor from my app! I cannot get to the sensor without removing my gas cylinder which is a refillable system precisely so I don’t have to move it!!!!

Failed to sync after app update

ggglllloooend on

Worked fine until an app update, app won’t sync with device now. Tried to contact Mopeka several times but have been totally ignored, my advice would be don’t buy.

Shocking

r123464 on

The sensor is useless. Changes from 50% to 12% then back to 80%, cannot rely on this at all and to top it off, a new update which makes you think the developers have sorted the issue then to find you have to re-sync the sensor which involves trying to get your bottle out of a small space whilst connected. Don’t bother with buying the sensors, total waste of money. Worst app I’ve ever used

Completely stop working

0102jlx69 on

I have a full bottle and it now reads empty after resyning Completely shocking

Devices disappear after updating app

WhenIRetire on

How I wish I’d read the reviews before updating the app. My device has disappeared and I have to push the button on it to sync. Given that it’s on the bottom of a refillable cylinder that is shoehorned into a locker this isn’t the easiest. Then there’s the issue of getting it correctly placed on the cylinder again. Please please please don’t delete devices on update. Or at least warn people to give them the option of updating when it’s going to be convenient to get at the device.
