I’ve been using this bank since the beginning, it has a good app design. The thing with virtual banks is that things will work well until they don’t. When it go wrong it will go really wrong. So I’m writing this review on AppStore really as a hope that you can improve, rather than as a complaint just by itself. At one time, my mox card got charged by some unknown merchant for the same amount 5 times in a minute. Anyone could have easily seen this is a fraudulent charge. The app didn’t block it, and when I enquired the CS was unhelpful and seems to suggest I made purchase that I forgot and referred me to APPLE. Apple was much more helpful though they couldn’t identify the merchant either. When I went back to mox, they presented me with the only option being to raise a Mastercard enquiry which would cost more than 500 if unsuccessful. There is no clear explanation of the process, and no updates whatsoever. Whenever I asked them of the outcome they would say please wait for app notification. Which , btw, never happened until some day my account suddenly got refunded some amount minus the currency conversion fees. By this point, none of the mox CS came back to me with any good explanation what happened. Apparently they have become more diligent these days. Today when I tried to make a purchase for an overseas merchant, it asked me to verify in the app which I did, so the money went through as expected. Well until some time later they’ve decided to block my card “for my security”. Good on you mox. What’s the point of verification if you’re going to block someone’s card? And what’s the point of blocking the card AFTER the purchase is successful?
