Mural Reviews

Promises but does not deliver

leunig's duck on

The app has potential, but is too slow, clunky and buggy to actually be useful. Because of the constant freezes, and clunks, it is actually slower than creating a flowchart on a whiteboard, or even paper and pencil. Sadly very frustrating.

Goofy ahh app

Very difficult to navigate. Not sure how you're supposed to be productive and collaborative when you're figuring out how to move the page half the time. Very laggy at times as well. Definitely better apps out there for collaborative whiteboards.

Overall, An Excellent Educational Concept

Although it is often a bit buggy, Mural is still a great Digital Creative and Collaboration Tool for learning in many settings.

Works as expected

Works as expected. Seems to be polished. Easy, smooth and quick to use.

App functionality is limited, yet Mural does not let you access Mural through a browser

BzzBob on

Super annoying. I want to watch training videos on my phone. The videos are accessible from my mural homepage, but when I use a browser to access my homepage I get force redirected to the app. And the app does not have access to support context, it only allows you to create and edit boards. Useless. Very poor user experience.

Cannot get past the auth

pbruffy on

Does not work with corporate login that requires Edge. Just wasted 15 minutes of installing mural and edge and numerous passes thru the MS auth app.

Scam

Company is using dark subscription patterns and focusing on scamming any revenue they can get as oppose to delivering a great service that customer keep using.

Why even release such a buggy app...

I was using this as a personal whiteboard; none of the fancy features, just the drawing features. Even with no collaborators there is a massive lag time (usually in the vicinity of 10 to 30 seconds) from drawing to seeing it up. I continued to have server ‘connection issues’ every 5mins which interrupts saving, so I consistently lost my progress. It’s not clear when it has saved so, despite working on it for an hour, my changes all disappears. There is no way to tell if it has successfully saved so you don’t even know before exit if you will lose progress. All in all, use a real whiteboard, or paper and a pen. You’ll be better off.
