Mural FAQ
Is Mural free?
Yes, Mural is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Mural legit?
⚠️ The Mural app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
The ipad App is unusable for anything account related as the settings can’t be accessed. Clicking your avatar only allows you to sign out.
When trying to use the browser version instead you are automatically rerouted to the app, even if you uninstall it. And there is no option to use the browser version instead.
Basically no account access on ipad. Rubbish.
Literal garbage…. Not surprised
I hate with every fiber of my soul that my organization has forced us to move to Miro to Mural. Mural on every platform is literal garbage and a usability nightmare - and it comes to no surprise the iPad version is no exception
lol even if you have a keyboard and trackpad you have to continuously switch between move and non move to do anything at all. Copy and paste? Forget it……. Mural is all around complete trash
App not working, can’t login.
iPhone app won’t let me login.
MS authentication stops login
Cant use on iphone or ipad incredible
Still a bad app for iPad
The new app version improved, but it still have very limited capabilities. It’s not reliable yet to consider switching from desktop. Some things are working weird, for example there is no search box for your murals, which is time consuming when you have lots of saved murals. When you edit a sticky the app automatically zooms in on the sticky which causes a lot of zoom in and out, and there is no way to deactivate that feature. You cant access templates, and some other key functionalities. I don’t know why they don’t allow you to access Mural from the iPad’s web browser and they force you to use their app, it doesn’t make sense either.
Not working
This app doesn’t work with the latest IOS update.
Too clunky
I like the desktop version but the iPad app is a pain to use. There is no way to easily create connectors or use my pen beyond drawing. Miro’s app is way easier. I would rather not switch but I need this app to improve
New updates bring desktop app to ipad - try it again trust me
I have been a long time mural user, so long in fact, that I was part of a small beta group before the app was even publicly released on the web more than 7 years ago. I always liked the web version but the ipad version was never up to the standard I wanted. As times changed, I switched from carrying a MacBook Pro everywhere, to rocking an ipad for almost everything I do. Unfortunately mural didnt have an ipad app I could use, so I ended up switching to other apps like miro (strange naming eh?) and Onenote, and other canvas masked apps and even mindnode for mind mapping etc.
Well, I decided to check on the iPad app today and to my surprise, I got the full desktop web version right there in the ipad app. This is great. They have even added new features like built in connector handles on stickies, full dedicated mindmap feature, and new ai features.
Gotta say, this is one of the best updates I’ve seen in a long time in any app. Brings mural’s tablet apps up to parity with miro, and can also be embedded in notion pages via embedly (like miro) which is exectly what I wanted.
Def give mural another shot on ipad and start your judgement completely from scratch. Not fair to rate the ipad app based on previous versions anymore.
I’m glad using this tool is not mandatory
Doesn’t work on iPad Pro. Guess I’m back to dragging and dropping in Visio like it’s 2007.
Bad cancellation/ refund policy
Try Figma jam or Google jam board instead. Had an account with an old work email, but paid with a personal credit card. They charged me over $460 in two years with no logins. The third time this week. When I complained: No refund offered.
