Muse — canvas for ideas

This app is only for iPad or Mac...shouldn't this be labelled somewhere? That the iPhone version is useless. Whole app is dishonest & overpriced. There's tons of whiteboard/note apps that actually function on iPhone, and are free

It’s a canvas with canvases inside and u can drag anything in it and draw anywhere. I’ve tried the popular whiteboard apps but this is really my favourite non linear journaling experience.

Why should I pay 5 bucks a month (60 per year) for a white board app when I can one time pay under 30 bucks for awesome creative apps like Affinity?? I would pay 20 bucks tops for this. Seems like a good app otherwise but your out to lunch on a subscription for this. Developers need to get over this subscription nonsense charge what its worth.

For me, Muse is the closest thing you can get to a messy pile of documents on a desk — in a good way! — plus you get as many desks as you want inside your desk drawers. And your documents talk to each other in nice ways. The UI is clean, simple and the gestures make a lot of sense. I use it as my main tool for studying (university) and I use it at work too (Mindmapping, project layouts). Their team is dedicated, friendly and quickly responds to feedback. They constantly work on making it better. At first there were feature I thought were missing, but I found that a few good tools outperform a thousand features you forget exist. The yearly billing makes it look crazy expensive, but divide it monthly and you’ll find it’s cheaper than Netflix. It’s still a bit too much IMO, as some fully featured pro tools (like affinity designer) are a one time fee of under 100$, but for me it’s still worth it. Anyway, give it a try !

I like the fact that Muse has such a useful free tier available before you have to purchase it. The ink handling is excellent, and the pen-first design makes Muse work well as a replacement for my paper notebooks. Also the developers are constantly working on the ideas that drive the design, refining and talking with their customers. While this is not an inexpensive app, the cost is commensurate with its professional nature, and the reality of trying to create a business on such a product. I have bought the app, and still have yet to use up the free tiers count of notes!
