Description
myTracks turns your iPhone or Apple Watch into a fully functional GPS logger. The GPS recordings can be displayed on different maps, which are also available without an internet connection if required. During a recording you can place and name waypoints to mark important locations. In addition to the waypoints, you can also take photos in myTracks, which are then assigned directly to the GPS track. The GPS tracks are stored exclusively on your iPhone, which means you don't have to register or log in anywhere. If you want, you can sync all your GPS tracks between your devices (iOS and macOS) via iCloud.
You can start and stop GPS recordings individually or use the energy-saving diary mode, where myTracks automatically creates a single track with the most important positions for each day. You can conveniently manage the GPS tracks in the track library. From there you can export the tracks or the associated photos, e.g. by e-mail and publish them on social networks.
The integrated Apple Watch app shows information about the current GPS recording. This includes the start time, distance covered, current, minimum and maximum altitude and the current map section. The GPS recording of the iPhone can be started and stopped via the Apple Watch and waypoints can be added. Since myTracks 5 you can also record directly with the Apple Watch.

Niet kopen!!!
Coordinaten kloppen niet, app crashed continue en ondersteuning besntwoord geen enkele vraag, accu wordt razendsnel leeggetrokken
Astonishingly good service!
After a grave user error, I contacted the developer in the hope that he could help me out. I did not really expect a response, but not only did I get one but it included detailed instructions on how to solve it. The developer then spent his own time processing the recovered data, and presented it to me polished and ready to go! Besides the service being stellar, the app itself is also simply excellent and does exactly what you might expect of it. In short: Highly recommended!!!

De app geeft veel meer km aan dan in werkelijkheid gereden of gelopen is. Onbetrouwbaar.

Biedt alle opties die ik kan verzinnen voor het loggen van je gps. Slaat ze overzichtelijk op, synct via icloud, import en export van gpx files, gewoon prima. Ik hoop dat de ontwikkelaar deze nog lang blijft supporten.

Unuseful apps
Although 1.79 is not expensive, it is not working and therefore thrown in the garbage can. It doesn't feed back what you are doong, the maps are not common with google maps or apple maps, when starting recording an select the apps camera, it says to start the recording first?!? The try out in Africa resulted in .... nothing!!! No recordings, redownloading the already off-line downloaded maps and totally no effect of selections, like actual position etc. It lacks the working of essential functions. May I expect an improved and working function on short notice. The idea is good. The execution not (yet).

Isn't smart like Saga. Saga doesn't work in Europe so I try this. Anyway tips: I do 24/7 logging for my company hour declaration and this could be a way. When at home is still collects data. It could use my wifi and know I'm at home and don't use GPS. Once I leave the network the app should know I'm not home anymore so it can starts the GPS again. Saga also uses the sensors of the iPhone to know where it is. This would work great with this app too. I also use map my ride and it is also smart. I starts en stops the logging when I'm not moving. Also very nice :)
