I use this app frequently on my iPhone 13 Pro with iOS 16.3. The option for different maps is great. Tracking works great and does not impact the battery life. One improvement suggestion I have for this app is the option to direct access the filesystem on my iPhone. Now I have to export and import my GPX route files, which works fine. But direct file access is a much user friendly way of working with GPX files.
First after tracking, U could push the track to the iPhone app. Now after some updates, it’s isn’t possible and my tracked routed disappeared and whipped from my watch. Route is gone…. So now it’s a useless app on Apple Watch.
Nice to have a free app, but the OSM tiles are not suitable for mobile. The text is way too small regardless of how far you zoom in. I hope the developer can add the option to specify a custom tileserver url. Then I could choose for example an Open Cycle Map source suitable for the smaller screen.
I am so happy to found this pearl of an app. I use it for hiking (preload tracks and track my walk), sailing, sports, and I love it. Easy, stable, works great on the watch, phone and iPad. No absurt battery drainage. Big thanks to the developer.
Wanna use this app for offroad enduro riding, but the screen keeps locking up. Love the app but for this reason i can’t use it. Please update en ad that feature?? :)
Used this app for gpx trails a few times. Even with good mobile reception, the app has too often difficulties tracking my position. Or doesn’t even manage to track me at all. That makes the app practically worthless. Btw, all other apps that make use of gps on my iPhone (iOS 13), are very accurate in locating my position.
Finally found a tracker that delivers what I need: Does effective tracking without any frills so I can check where I passed through and can find the top spots back.
Finally an app that doesn’t push you to subscribe to some plan. Finally an app that just allows you to track without other nonsense.
I actually use it for contributions to OpenStreetMap. Not difficult to use.
Works great so far. Planning on using this to track gps coordinates for my DSLR photos
