N1-Headache Reviews

Build awareness of the causes of your headaches

Won't take my name on

This app is educates me on my headache causes and triggers and how I can help avoid headaches, it tracks daily data better than the standard pencil and paper form, compiles the data to give reports and builds research data. There’s lots of useful info about headaches. What’s not to like?

More options are needed to customize headaches. Notes section would be useful.

Curelator For anyone who plans to use this app: stop and write down all possible “factors” (triggers, protectors, etc). Try using an app like Migraine Buddy (it has an extensive trigger list and you can add your own and see how many users also have those and you can see other similar ones that might remind you of other triggers you hadn’t thought of). Then wait a couple days and write down any more that come to mind. Do this until you are fairly certain you have a complete list. THEN start using the app. Trust me on this. After only three days of using the app they WON’T LET YOU ADD MORE FACTORS FOR 90 DAYS! Better to waste a few days not tracking at all than to waste 3 months not tracking YOUR factors. Other app issues: Can’t edit previous entries if more than a day old. Lots of spelling/grammar errors. During the three day period when I can input new factors why don’t those new factors actually show up as options on the day I added them?!?! Obviously I remembered them because they happened to me that day. Can only edit factors every 90 days?!?! So dumb. Why not let me put in a bunch when I want and then restart the 90 day clock? Now I have to use a semi-useless app for 86 more days before I can add the factors I think are important and then an additional 90 days to get the results for those. That’s 6 months, people!!! Three days is too short to figure out this app that has no instructions and is not intuitive. They don’t explain how it works very well. For example I initially put in all the medications I take regularly and occasionally, but in the daily entry it never asked me which ones I took each day. I finally figured out today that (I think?!) you’re supposed to say yes to “missed medications” and then select all the ones you didn’t take on that day. That makes NO sense, especially for the ones I entered as “when needed” (obviously not taking them every day and I wouldn’t consider them “missed” if I didn’t take them on most days). And now I can’t go back and fix it for the past 2 weeks’ entries. So dumb. And it would be a LOT easier and intuitive to select the ones I DID take on a given day rather than say that I missed some and have to select and confirm each one. Especially for the ones taken as needed. Further, it doesn’t explain what happens when you go in and edit your medications and turn off one of them. Does it remove it from the whole 90 days? Or just from then on? Similarly when I turn one back on does it turn it on for the whole 90 day

Terrific app!

This app has been helpful when dealing with the serious evolution of my migraines; it’s versatile letting you add personal key symptoms ,medication and supplements, and other details relevant to your migraines and treatment plan. Highly recommend it to anyone who suffers from serious complex migraine w aura like me . Thanks Curelator😃

I wanted to use this to track my sons headaches which are frequent. Looks like great ideas Entering one headache requires going through a gazillion screens. I will never use it deleted.

Flawed with Potential

Give users the benefit of the doubt that they are capable of remembering past a few days ago when their headaches happened, or perhaps may be tracking them on paper and later putting them in the app for documentation/mapping. Also, do away with the stupid limitations on putting in custom factors every 90 days. I tried to put one in and ran out of time, tried to go back later to finish, and it had locked me out for another 90 days. So stupid. So annoying. Why are you ruining what could potentially be a good app with arbitrary and artificial imposed restrictions on your users?

One of the best but could have some user friendliness

This is by far the best app I’ve used to track my headaches. Other app are super confusing to work with and this one seems promising for helping me understand my triggers by data mining. I have seen some minor bugs like it fails to load some of the menu pages (like “individual maps” for example). If this was happening to the daily diary this might be way to frustrating. I have to keep refreshing it to get it to load properly. In addition, the sleep and time outdoors hour logging is confusing such that it’s asking for the hours but then wants you to set it to AM or PM. I also don’t like that you can’t set it to 0 hours. When if I was indoor all day? Lastly, and the biggest one, this app has unnecessary multiple screens for the daily diary. I think it would be more user friendly if all the daily diary stuff was on one page and you just clicked each to set it. It might also be great to have default preferences to eliminate clicking everything every day. You know, for example, I rarely drink. It’s possible, but rarely. If I could set that to default no that would be convenient. The process of logging a day can be tedious and I often go back to other days I forgot. This one screen option would make it so much easier. Again, this app is great! These are just my minor frustrations. Thanks!
