Scanning for over ten minutes and no info how long or if there’s a problem

Scanning for over ten minutes over every millimeter and it’s still going with no information how long it takes or what the problem is.

Doesn’t work time waster

Tried this app twice. Both times it just sits says it is processing and does nothing. Just another app invented to waste one’s time. The question one must ask is how safe is my id that I used on this app now and can you truly believe anything they tell you. As I have now discovered there are safer ways to identify yourself without using this app. I would stay away.

Great app to verify identity easily

Would be great if it worked

This app is so infuriating that I have to write this in English because my German can't properly express my irritation. Despite following all instructions to letter (hand position, ID card tilting etc.) and trying at least five different lighting environments, it gave a generic "sorry, can't do it" error every time over more than 12 attempts. It would be very helpful to have feedback on what the problem was - is it my pronunciation in the video selfie, as a non-native speaker of German? Is it the lighting? Who knows! It claimed on one occasion that my ID was of the wrong type, despite this not being a problem the other million times I tried and it being the specific type requested by ADAC, who directed me to this godforsaken application, and also said on one occasion that there was no internet connection when there was a strong one. And if you need to use an Australian or similar passport, forget about this app, despite the fact that it claims it accepts all passports, because the photo page just lights up as a mess of holograms in the lighting that the app forces your phone to use. I also don't appreciate having to wait an extremely long time (sometimes) to find out my attempt has failed - though other times the failure came fast, on apparently equally good attempts with identical internet connectivity. Most of all, I despise being forced to watch the same instructional videos on every single attempt - if they didn't help the first fifty times, they're not going to help on the fifty-first. They are long, too, which is fine for the first go, but when you're just trying to smash through as many attempts as possible, praying that one somehow works, you will begin to contemplate homicide against the stupid blue cartoon man and his idiotic whistling face.
