FRITZ!App Fon connects with your FRITZ!Box via WLAN so that you can use your telephone at home via the fixed-line network and the Internet. Once FRITZ!App Fon has been started, it automatically runs in the background, making it easy to take incoming calls while other apps are running, or even during standby operation.
Once FRITZ!App Fon has been started, you can make calls with your iPhone, iPod or iPad directly over your FRITZ!Box, just like with a cordless handset. Incoming calls are displayed automatically. To make an outgoing call, open FRITZ!App Fon and dial the desired telephone number via the telephone book. To listen to new messages on the FRITZ!Box answering machine, press and hold down the "1" key.
System requirements:
- FRITZ!Box with FRITZ!OS 7.20 or later
- iOS 14 or later

What a dud
This used to work. All the good ratings are many years old. The newer ones rate it poorly. I only gave it a 1 because there is no 0. The unresolved problem is that it won’t handle calls from my iPhone contact list which include the very usual standard + which is a shortcut for the International Dial Code for whatever country you happen to be in. I have had heaps of communication with the developer but they are either unable to fix it or can’t be bothered to do the problem solving themselves. I’m over it. I’ve deleted this App.
Stopped working long ago
Bizarre errors like ‘Cannot find the Fritz!Box’... when the phone is connected to the Fritz!Box WiFi (facepalm). Claims it can’t register with the Fritz!Box to make calls, but then let’s you access the answering machine. Fritz devices were great for years until version 7 of their OS where straight away unreliable WiFi and unusable Apps are now normal.
Good app
Covers the functionality of voip calls well, great as an additional handset to make or receive calls, locally or via VPN.
Would be great if the speaker phone functionality would work - the notes say that it is sometimes not available - not sure why this is the case? Please could it be available for all calls?
Can’t get it to work
Can’t get it to work, waiting for response to my request for support from developer
After 10 days still waiting for response from app developers. Still doesn’t work. Tried deleting and reinstalling, restarted phone etc but no luck. Fiddled around and got it to work once then stopped working again. When developers contacted me they said it wouldn’t work with my version of the fritz box. Why did I get it to work once then?
Doesn’t work anymore
Doesn’t work on iOS 8.
Needs to be updated.
Bad app
Totally useless in that it cause all sort of frustration just trying to make a phone call. When is a better and newer app coming out?
Works as described
Works well no complains but it's missing an option to forward calls, especially useful would be to be able to forward calls to another internal handset...
Very useful
Thanks! Does what it says
Works precisely and perfectly! The perfect iFritzphone app!
Easy simple interface. Integrated seamlessly. Works perfectly for all numbers - mobile, internet and landline no.s - and deals with local and international prefixes easily. Imported iPhone Contacts with perfect accuracy - that is über cool. This App will save heaps in mobile phone costs!!! Worked out of the box first time. Connected to 7390 straight up with no problems.
Also includes a classic selection of Fritz!Box actions - call lists, WLAN signal strength and bandwidth indicators, export iPhone contacts to laptops and Fritz Boxes, open the Fritx Box user interface etc...
