This is the first I've felt like everyone involed making this came to a more natural agreement. The intro felt more like a modern 'Cowboy Bebop' than the new 'Lazarus' anime without pretending to be anything than itself. The directing and the pacing was enough for me to overlook the lengthy tutorial which to its credit is comprehensive yet concise. The designs are also consistent and subtle as far as the whole introduction/tutorial is concerned, and the dialogue is believable and not excessive. It managed to keep my attention without it feeling like a waste of time or a slog waiting to be finished. The gameplay is much the same in that it offers interesting aspects (e.g. stacking attribute/buff rewards), albeit partial and limited on their own. Lastly, in the same vein as the rest of the game, starting characters and their dialogue are not cliché at all to me and seem designed for their own individual purposes. Despite having similar roles to countless other mobile/gacha games, everything is depicted with more maturity and I wouldn't have ever thought this a spinoff game. BRAVO, what the heck?!

Forced to play a character that can’t win.

Why can’t I use my stronger characters for every battle why does the story force me to use a character that can’t win the fight?

Feel like I’m making no progress

Everybody just uses the same meta teams and unless you have those exact characters and have spent months building them, it just feels like you’re stuck playing catch up. Overall was a very frustrating experience, wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone.

A 20 minute+ long hand-held tutorial that can’t be skipped. Deleted after the summoning because it kept going with the handholding. Just let me play the game and figure it out.

Latest event sucks

Event is pure grind and wastes so much time it’s not even funny. If devs decide to keep disrespecting my time then I’m deleting the game

Unique spinoffgame set in the GFL universe. Gameplay is similar to autochess but it blends roguelite elements with the gacha formula, creating an enjoyable experience everytime you play. This game doesnt heavily rely on obtaining meta units. Even 1 star units are meta, but only if youve built them. Still, its a generous game allowing you to completely progress as a F2P. Raising your characters to higher rarities (1-5, some units start at 3) is easy but timegated. You level them up through obtaining "fragments," you can either purchase them with a special resource you obtain from summoning duplicate characters or farming a special mode that is refreshed each day (max 10 runs). This mode guarantees your characters to level up instead of needing to summon dupes. Neural cloud is also generous. Literally one of the top units in the entire game is given to you for free, its still meta in the Chinese version of the game. As for pull resources, I had to reach pity for a banner character eating up 180 pulls. However, Im back at 320 pulls again, mostly from game rewards, dailies, and weeklies. I do have the monthly card but thats just a fraction compared to what the game provides. I have almost enough to guarantee two banner characters again. Highly recommend this game, and if you are having an itch, its definitely this game. Dailies and weeklies dont take too much time and you can easily play this casually. Also Id be happy to spend money on developers who genuinely make games for the enjoyment of their players indtead of milking their players. *cough* Nikke.

Incredibly Disappointing

After hearing glowing reviews about this game, i decided to give it a shot. Multiple stages where its physically impossible to complete (stage 1-10 comes to mind) where regardless how i tried to play, there was no change. I even took it upon myself to find walkthroughs of this specific level, and after seeing in the comments section numerous people who share the same opinion as myself. Being forced into a story board mission where the character selected physically can't defeat the stage blows my mind. As someone who isn't a reviewer, i had to go out of my way so i can tell people to avoid this game, its incredibly unfortunate, but maybe once there's genuine balance for the stages, it might be fun, but its a no from me.
