A most excellent news feed reader
I used to use a famous news reader but it never really allowed me to control what I read and when. NewsBlur solved this and I can now subscribe to many feeds and skim them and read what is important to me without being overwhelmed. Everything is there for when I want it, and I am in control. Over the years it has been improved and I’m very happy to pay for this. If RSS feeds are important to you, give it a try.
I use it every day
I've used this app every day for over five years. I'm not sure I can say that about any other app. Once you set it up with the right sources, the idea of using any other news app seems daft. It's simple, fast, ad-free, and blends all your news sources together. Awesome.
Waste of time
Only only subscribed to one science news service. All I got was populist rubbish that had nothing to do with what I subscribed to, and everything I tried to do to find my subscription came back to a message that stated “only available to premium subscribers.” Save your self some time and frustration and do not try! Got a developer reply saying millions of feeds available. Did not reply to my complaint nor any response to my inability to avoid populist rubbish I have no interest in. Aaaarrgggg
Stealing functionality
Taking existing functionality and locking it behind an expensive annual premium is a terrible way to treat users. Still riddled with bugs. Avoid.

Like others, I found this app as a replacement for Google Reader. It works like a dream and looks great on the iPhone 6 plus since the last update. Recommended.
