I want to listen to the world without traveling. Nextory brings French reading and listening to me. Easy to use, affordable, and a deep collection of press, novels and BD’s at my level of understanding a second language.

Inept at best, predatory at worst
Once you register for an account and sign up for the trial with payment info… it miraculously becomes impossible to access your account again to disable billing. If you are going to sign up for this garbage (the books I looked through were AI generated and horrible…) then at least make sure you do so through Apple so you can easily disable the billing. Customer support initially responded to my request for help but has since ignored me. Luckily I used PayPal as my payment so I simply revoked access but still have no way of knowing if they are going to try and charge me when the trial runs out and I have no way of disabling it before that. RUN.
Fascinating stories of humans
I’ve always rejoice hearing stories of my friends. And I’ve always enjoyed stories well told. For example, how mosquitoes have affected our lives, what factors were affecting the decision making during our last pandemic, or the story of a loved person that never leaves our memories: these are stories of humans that somehow become the property of a publisher, and that one has to pay every time to have the luxury of reading them. Thanks to Nextory, thousands of books become available more easily and affordably. I’m really thankful to Nextory.
App is good but it could be way better!
The catalogue is great, so many titles, new and old ones. Although I found things that could improve the app tremendously: - No Apple car play app: this is very important to me because I like to listen to my books mostly in the car and it’s very distracting to have to use your phone. - The skip button is only 15seconds. This might seems stupid but it would be great that it can be bigger than that like 30 seconds. - No chapters inside the books. This makes impossible to follow a book with the written version. I love to listen to my books in the morning and continue at night before bed with the written version. It’s really hard to find where you are because there are no chapters inside the super lengthy audio. thanks for all the work you do!
