Ninox Database for iPhone

Tried Tapforms…came back to Ninox much more intuitive.

I just wanted to create simple databases and have not needed to dive into the depths of this programme. The thing I like most is that the developers regularly release updates.

You pay, there's no support, you need a paying subscription to use the forum. The software is not intuitive and most solutions require you to write code. If you're looking for an easy to use database, this is not it.

I used Ninox to create an order book database for our business. The latest App update brings the phone experience fully in-line with the excellent PC version, and is a major upgrade over the old App. I would now recommended Ninox to anyone looking for a bespoke database solution which works across multiple devices.

Recent update: Enter time as 10:10:00 and it appears as 11:10:00 in the table making the database useless. The preformated time does not allow you to select the minutes, what rubbish.

If you are looking for a solution to work across every platform, this is it! Easy to use and build in, plus loads of great support available to help you get to the next stage! Highly recommend for businesses of any size!

I’ve had the Ninox Database since 2016. I paid £14.99 for the upgrade and built up quite an extensive database to catalogue a collection. Since the last update, I have been logged out. Ninox does not recognise my log in details, not even my email address so I cannot request a new password. I’ve tried re-registering, then restoring purchases but that option is not working in the app. I’ve tried both on my iPhone and iPad and the results are the same. I’ve lost months of work and important data and Ninox have provided no assistance at all. If you’re planning on using this to create an extensive and important database I’d recommend researching the other apps available out there.

I have purchased Ninox on my Mac and downloaded it to my iPhone. I have created a test database in iCloud on the MacBook it does not appear on the iPhone. I have created a test database on the iPhone it does not appear on the MacBook. iCloud works fine for everything else and I have followed the support advice for using Ninox with iCloud. For one user Ninox Cloud is ridiculously expensive and a non starter. So far I have wasted the cost of purchasing Ninox as I need to sync between MacBook and iPhone. UPDATE Uninstall everything and try with newly downloaded copies. iCloud now seems to be working. I have now spent several hours just getting Ninox to work as advertised (which it now seems to do). Not a good first impression and it will now take some time to build confidence.

It's OK when it works but if your database is large (mine has 900 records) then it just hangs forever, no indication it's doing anything. Wait for minutes with no change have to quit the app. If you leave it for about 10 mins it eventually comes to life (sometimes) but is still slow Disappointed

One of the best database applications I have ever used. Easy yet able to handle complex databases with ease.
