The app works well but really needs update after 4 years (security update, maybe?). It also need to add support for the trackpad from magic keyboard. It will be great if the app can fill the entire iPad screen
Screen misaligned, can’t click any button since the button is out of display area
Don’t understand the bad reviews. This works amazingly well. It was a huge step up from using Google Remote Desktop.
Great app! Just two more bugs to fix here. Stage Manager bug - you can’t start NoMachine on the external screen. But you can drag it from the iPad screen to the external screen. The window can be made bigger but not resizing or full screen not possible in stage manager external screen. When this is fixed NoMachine will be perfect. Fixed Magic Keyboard bug - thanks!
This app was absolutely unusable for months after iOS updates. They layout never changed or scaled in portrait and landscape, and all you could see was half the screen at any given time and no controls. A simple thing to make this app useable went unaddressed and emails unanswered for months. Hopefully it’s working, but the lack of support, even when paying, is a total deal breaker. I dumped this a while back and got our systems on something that’s maintained and actually addresses issues in a timely manner.
Needs support for Magic Keyboard. I’m ok with there not being true 1:1 pixel resolution on a remote connection. Nomachine does a good job making the scaling usable. But when connected to my Linux remote, on an iPad Pro (m1) the magic keyboard does not register at all. The trackpad works, including scroll, but no key presses are registered. This is too bad, because this is an otherwise great remote access system. We would consider an Enterprise subscription for work if this was resolved. Being able to get our coders on a Linux desktop from anywhere with no hardware requirement (the app runs on nearly anything) is a great selling point, but this app needs updating.
Still broken on iPad for well over 6 months. You will see promises to update the app in response to many reviews. What you don't see is any hint of when that might happen. At this point waiting isn't the answer. Not with something we rely on. I need a working solution from a developer who can update the app as needed. I just can't recommend this as a viable solution any longer. There really does come a point where you just gotta move on. Dropping support for iOS would have looked better than months of being broken. Update: I did download the newest version with the patch keyboard works again. The app still has lost all my saved connections. It can not detect the other devices on the network running NoMachine.
Update for version 8: Still terrible but at least the app actually opens and functions. 1. Display is squished into the ipad resolution. Even when you choose 1:1 its not. There is no true 1:1 zoom and no “Fit to Screen” so you either get a thumbnail in the middle of a black screen or a squished view Thats supper grainy. 2. The ipad keyboard doesn’t work? Seriously ? 3. No auto discovery - if you have a lot of host be prepared to enter them all manually. Maybe in a few more years there will be another update? —————————————————- On ipad its completely unusable because the tutorial image is misplaced and there is no way to dismiss it. Completely worthless. On iPhone the developers clearly do not test. The app covers native us and hardware elements like the notch and the app switcher at the bottom. App UI elements run right to the very edge of the screen making it hard to use. Rotate the phone? Nope, that just gives you a black screen. A real shame because this all works very well on Mac, PC and Linux.
Hangs at initial screen. Right quarter of screen is black. Used to work great.
