Great app, but a couple things would be useful for string students
Love this app!! I’m a cellist so I wish there was an option for tenor clef. I also have found that it would be useful to have the note name shown if the note was incorrect.
Note Rush is not free (it costs 9.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.

I love this app! It is better than other sight reading apps because it uses microphone (or midi) to hear and input the answer- students can focus on playing the note correctly, not simply naming it (ABCDEFG). It will work even if you are a transposing instrument like trumpet because it will transpose for you based off your “C” that you play. I use it with all my students (violin, cello, piano) especially beginners. The level designer feature is fantastic!!! You can easily save different levels to focus on different pitch sets. (I only rate 4 stars until they release an updated version with tenor and alto clef!!!!)
When I play, it doesn’t always do the right thing like I play the piano and I’m doing good but then I play the same note over and over and it just keeps getting a higher and higher time and I get up to like seven minutes (so stupid) but it was also fun so I had to give it three stars:)
I love the app. Butsometimes they use my voice, but it doesn’t work so it just restart it. That’s the problem I wanted I mean, I mean I needed it. Well that’s the problem but now I fix it.
This app is really good for learning notes before this app i was struggling to learn the notes without it. My teacher was trying to help me, but it didn’t work. This app is really good for learning notes. If you’re struggling with notes use this app it’s really good.
Bass guitar?
Short version: updated to 2nd edition and now it can’t detect notes in the correct octave for bass. Long version: I teach bass guitar at a public high school and I hadn’t updated this app in years, so I was on 1st edition. It worked flawlessly on that version (was build 155): just play middle C on bass and everything was great, very accurate even in slightly noisy classrooms. Read about 2nd edition and figured it was worth the upgrade. Now the app asks you to play F instead (4th line Bass clef), but the app won’t detect it (I’ve tried at home in a silent house out in the woods…nothing, and yes the microphone is enabled, you can see the meter moving as I play). Only when I play F an octave higher does it “work”, but now you have to play everything up an octave from written pitch, which obviously makes it useless for teaching kids. Can you PLEASE restore pitch detection for those lower frequencies, either permanently or as an option in settings? This app is 5 stars when it works…but until it starts to work again for us, I can’t rate it higher than a 2.
Irs helped me so much and that you can change the difficulty realy helps me❤️❤️❤️❤️
