Noto - Elegant Note

Expandable areas, linkable text, customizable line height, image gallery, png support and german translations would be very welcome! Otherwise, a very nice app! 😍

I absolutely hate the aesthetics and usability of Apple Notes, but Notion’s inability to work offline, bad syncing feature & complexity got me to look for a better app - and I found Noto. I pay 1€ monthly for the Pro Features and I’m truly in love! It’s like better designed Apple Notes with immediate sync across my Apple Ecosystem, it’s beautiful & has all the functions one needs. I took one star off because there are some features that are still minimally buggy and need to be tweaked (e.g. Manual Keyboard Shortcuts — I can’t get certain shortcut combinations to work, the system doesn’t recognise some hardware keys from my laptop which irks me a bit, but this is a minimal issue for me). Great app!

Moving Notes „crashes“ the app. The move note dialog cannot be closed which basically leads to the fact that users have to shut down the app…

Exporting from the app is atrocious. It names every markdown document ‘content.md’ and slots it into a folder with the actual name of the file. The consequence is that other markdown editors don‘t know how to deal with those folders and files. Why on earth does it not just export with the file name being the headline (or first line), and a structure that mirrors the app‘s content, meaning documents being in their respective folders, not in folders per document. Except of course, that would make switching away from the app easier. Ooooh so that’s why…

Ich finde Noto ist wirklich sehr einfach zu bedienen und ist perfekt für Menschen, die einen cleanen Look in ihrer Notizapp bevorzugen. Wobei gewisse Funktionen z.B. eine Tabelle zu erstellen, meiner Meinung nach auch in der Gratisversion verfügbar sein sollten. Außerdem funktionieren die Widgets bei mir seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr richtig, was ich sehr schade finde, aber ansonsten nur zu empfehlen!

Die App ist sehr schön gestaltet und bietet eine intuitive Oberfläche, sowie brauchbare vielfältige Funktionen. Die Synchronisation ist teilweise noch etwas instabil (Ordner Bezeichnung wird nicht übernommen). Wenn, sich die Synchronisation stabilisiert und etwas regelmäßiger Updates eingespielt werden, werde ich die App gerne kaufen.

Ohne jetzt viel drumherum zu schreiben… 🤫😁Derzeit eine der besten Notiz Apps und ein ausgezeichnetes Design 😍,… aber es gibt leider immer noch ein paar kleine Bugs, worauf die App neu gestartet werden muss. Zum Beispiel ist die Textfläche manchmal komplett weiß. (Passiert fast immer im Split Screen 🫥.) !! Was ich mir allerdings am Meisten wünschen würde, dass beim PDF-Export bunte Textmarkierungen nicht immer nur blau ausgegeben werden, sondern in der vorher festgelegten Farbe - dafür gibt man sich ja schließlich auch immer die Mühe. !! - - - Da seit dem letzten Update schon wieder ein halbes Jahr vergangen ist, wird es sowieso mal wieder Zeit für ein’s. icloud on iphone and iPad are not working….

Die synchronisation von mehren Geräten funktioiert bei mir noch nicht so flüssig. Oft ist mein Mac auf dem neusten stand der texte aber mein handy hat noch die alten. Oft dauert es etwas länger bis es wieder gleich ist. Ich habe alle beiden Geräten das synchronisation aktiv. Anonsten bin ich zufrieden.
