Why isn’t there an ability to increase playback speed?
This is the biggest barrier to me using this app regularly. I love NPR but it’s more convenient to use the native Apple Podcasts app.
Please implement Dark Mode
This app is great! I love it and use it for driving, sitting around the house, and other environments where I need a quick infuse of NPR. It’s great that it’s careful to never repeat a story and I like that a lot. Systemwide dark mode launched with iOS 13 in September of 2019 and that was over 18 months ago. Please stop adding new features to this app until you catch up to 90% of apps by adding dark mode. What do we want? DARK MODE! What don’t we want? SOME NEW HOME SCREEN NO ONE LOOKS AT ANYWAY! Update October 2023: Now dark mode is 4 years old. Please add a dark mode to the app. Morning Edition is recorded at 5 am. It’s dark outside. We’re begging. Please add dark mode.

love the app, wish i could rate five stars
this app is amazing. i love having a dedicated space on my phone for news instead of cluttering my already busting podcast feeds. i just wish i could sign into npr one premium within the app. if this becomes available i’ll change my star number!
Terrible
This is a terrible app. If you want to hear paid advertisements and non-NPR podcasts that have paid for placement then this is the app for you. If you want to hear the NPR National News beat set your alarm to turn so you can use your radio to hear it. They do there very best to hide this while serving up crap you already heard. They just switched the Nation News button to be a random button. That’s after they made the National news unsearchable. And be ready to be offered up anything you but what you put in the search bar. I’m sad that my contributions to my local station helps fund this garbage app.

Best audio news content in the App Store. Algorithm, Stoty skipping, never hearing a repeat story is also great. App stability still needs work even after all these years. Easier access to local stories would also be appreciated
Useless mechanism for NPR to use and sell your information
Can't listen live or change the local station without providing all your info first. Their previous app wasn't like this but they are slowly dsabling it. NPR has officially entered the ranks of the skeevey.
A Simple, easy to use app
Thank you NPR for creating this ‘NPR One’ app. I like how simple, purposeful and intuitive it is, particularly, the ‘play’ button displayed right at the front page cover, making it really efficient and easy to use, just click ‘play’ and listen to a mix of the latest news and podcasts I subscribed, streaming nonstop. Click and go, a great app for starting a day, thanks NPR.
