Is OCD HELP legit?
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.
Thanks for the vote
How much does OCD HELP cost?
OCD HELP has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is €19.34.
Beware! This app literally doesn’t work. Both my son and I downloaded and paid. That’s $12.99 each for us for an app that doesn’t do anything but show a anxiety circle with no ability to do anything. I’ll be calling the credit card company in the morning. Don’t buy! I think it not working increased my anxiety. So terrible.
Amzing
Thanks Ali
Can’t test drive the app before deciding to purchase monthly subscription
To preface: I didn’t read the reviews before I went ahead and downloaded.
I really like the idea of this app, but the fact that it will not let you even try the app before you decide to purchase the monthly subscription is upsetting. I need to be able to find something that works for me FIRST before committing to paying $8 monthly. I understand that it may not seem like a significant amount to pay a month, but I don’t even know what I’m paying for when trying to use the app for the first time! There’s no way to see the features of the app because you cannot in any way bypass the screen telling you to purchase a subscription.
After reading the reviews I do understand it from the developers point of view: it’s not cheap to develop an app. However it’s terrible that there’s not even a free trial period before making me commit to giving you $8 every month.
Gonna have to look for another app. Best of luck to everyone trying to find something that works for them.
You have to pay to use this app
Every single one of the features in this app is a “premium” (paid) feature, so it’s incredibly misleading to put it on the App Store as a free app with in-app purchases.
Expensive and very buggy
I think that Ali’s videos have helped me tremendously. However, this app is a bit expensive for what you’re getting. You can’t use the app without subscribing for $7 a month. So I tried it and to me it wasn’t worth it. The app is very buggy and paying $7 a month to track my time when I can do that in my notes app doesn’t make sense.
As I said, Ali’s videos are amazing and I find them helpful, but I have noticed her videos these days focusing too much on the app since the app came out. Pushing too hard for an app that should have a one time fee at most. This has kind of put me off. The idea that this is the same amount of money as a cup of coffee so it should be worth it is a terrible argument. I don’t buy coffee, and I won’t pay $7 for an unnecessary app.
No Benefit Without $$
This app is totally useless unless you buy their $7 a month subscription. Most apps will give you some free features and if you want premium then you can go premium for additional features. Not this app. It does nothing without a paid service. The author will tell you how good it is but never tell you about the subscription you have to pay. It is also misleading in advertising. It says “In app purchases” but the whole app must be subscribed to with a monthly fee to use. I am very disappointed in the developer with this because the author is a good OCD Coach, but her app is useless without $$.
The developer of the OCD app contacted me after my above review was posted. Their response was that it is in fact very expensive to develop an app and that an $8 subscription is the cost of coffee and a sandwich. I agree, but my point is that it isn’t just a one time purchase of a cup of coffee rather it is monthly purchase that does add up! The issue I have is that no matter how good the app may be, you can’t even try it out without paying for and committing to a paid subscription. Give us a little something for free or a free month trial that you can cancel or keep depending on the experience.
The other big issue I have is that the developer is still being disingenuous with me by simply asking me to update my review based on their costs to develop the app. I don’t care if it costs $100 a month, I just need to be able to test drive it prior to purchase.
app makes you pay for a subscription
smh. ali greymond just wants your money :( sad. you can easily get a fully free CBT diary app that has the exact same tracking features called feartools. please do not pay for this its useless..
Doesn’t work
Every time I try to push things it deletes it or doesn’t work and it makes my ocd worse
