The app doesn’t care whether you’re a man or a woman. In Thai, differences between male speech and female speech are considerable. The app teaches you to speak as a woman, which is useless for a male speaker. Also, the app omits teaching the common sentence ending, which is imperative for speaking in Thai, 1) for reasons of politeness and 2) for keeping the right tone as westerners change tone at sentence ending (which is wrong in Thai language). The app dives immediately into text recognition without teaching anything about the Thai alphabet. This renders giving the right answer to questions 100% impossible. Uh, I should say 75% as it’s multiple choice so you have 25% chance of making the right choice. Useless app for learning Thai language. Update: After the developer comment I decided to try again. 1) No distinction between male and female speakers. Yes you can choose the voice, but to hear the female voice say “Phom mai rue” (I don’t know) is just laughable. “Phom” is the male form of “I”. A female speaker would NEVER say “Phom”. They have a male speaker say “Chan”, the female version of “I”, which can in fact be used in informal Thai, but it’s blatantly incorrect in formal Thai. 2) Thai alphabet The developer kindly seems to forget that the app contains exercises with written Thai only, without any transliteration so the comment is incorrect. The app shows a word, in Thai alphabet and then you have to guess the translation. Guess what I think of that: ไม่ดี Your multiple choice answers: 1) Not helpful 2) Stupid 3) Useless 4) Not Good 🤣 Conclusion remains the same. This app is useless for learning Thai. Better look at the app called “Ling”, written by Thai people who know their own language.

The app is a visually beautiful tool and it works very well. I was excited when I saw the amazing lifetime deal but I just learned it doesn’t include the Live courses and that it would be an additional $89 for the lifetime deal. It feels misleading but I can get over it. Overall, I really like the functionality and look forward to adding this to my language learning collection.

I purchased the app but it won’t transfer to the new phone. It keeps asking to buy again. There isn’t any customer service.

I love the app. Have been using it for Russian. Wanted to request whether it is possible to add the Kazakh Language?

Great app, I had some problems but they seem to be resolved. I look forward to getting back into it

German lessons don’t teach genders with nouns, so I can’t recommend the app for German. I looked at the French and Italian courses and didn’t see that omission so it could be unique to German.

I bought the lifetime subscription and now they want me to pay again. They don’t have any option to communicate with them! Do not purchase this subscription it’s a scam!!!

I don’t regret buying this app, as it’s been helpful for learning Thai. However, the farther I get, the more frustrated I’m getting with one thing: very often now, the Thai words that are written are not the same words that are being spoken. The sentence means basically the same thing in each, but often the word order is different, or sometimes a word is added or left out. I’m trying to learn to read Thai script as I go, but it’s frustrating to not know how to pronounce what is written because what’s being said is different. Please make the script and the spoken recording consistent!

Everything is enjoyable thus far, but I have one complaint and that is the Live Lesson feature that I paid for always marking me wrong for saying "Je suis désolée" or other phrases that are pronounced exactly the same as the male version of it ("Je suis désolé"). Please fix that. Thank you.
