Old Maps Online

It’s resourceful for finding USGS maps that apply to your area, but after looking at 2-3 maps the zoom feature bugs out and the maps become unusable. It’s be great if it worked properly and i would use it, but because it’s so buggy I’d rather spend time looking through the actual USGS or other websites.

I love the capabilities of this app. However, it constantly freezes up on me. Sometimes after ten minutes or so and then sometimes as soon as the map loads it will start to do different tasks than commanded. I can’t not use the app because of its potential. I just wish that you guys could get it working properly. Thank you…

Just downloaded this AP and nothing. Either update the AP or take it down.

When I try to open the app it says it’s no longer supported and to update, but there’s no update.

Just like the other guy said. After 20 min, you try and zoom-in on an old map and it spins it upside down and makes it really really tiny. It just gets crazy. Mind you, zooming-in is essential for viewing a map. Those first 20 min are great though.

It’s an amazing app to learn about history and displacement, however you can only research for about 15-20 minutes at a time before the zoom stops working and the maps starts going haywire.. I’d love to continue to use this as it’s very helpful in looking into my city history, however I think a few tweaks could make this run a lot better.

Just tried this app and found it to be useless. Maps are blurred and text is in a different language. No directions are provided. I just deleted the app.

How do you zoom in on a location on the maps???

Apps that require a subscription should provide that detail upfront.
