OnWater Fish Reviews

10x Better than Trout Routes or onX fish

shmeric.reyna on

If you’re considering an app to up your fishing spot scouting, on water fish is the app. The rad customizations in MyWaters flow stations allows me to set my ideal flow ranges and monitor my ideal streams while I digitally scout and explore others based on what species are present. Speaking of species, the species layer tool was very insightful and helped me discover Trout in parts of Texas where I thought there wouldn’t be any!

Great response from developers team

I had an issue where the fish-brain app would not sync the changes I made on the app between my iPhone and my iPad. I sent an email to the support team. They had the problem resolved in 3 days. Very responsive and great communication! Thanks team!! Mark

Not Impressed

Schnitx on

United States

Not impressed with the free version for my state of Pennsylvania. I can get much more info. from the PA Fish and Boat Commission’s free site related to access and regulations for a specific section of stream.

Yet Another Fishing App

Cakedayy on

United States

Effectively useless free tier — when comparing premium offerings to other big players like Fishbrain, it’s hard to justify the similar cost. Either needs a different pricing model or something immediately differentiating it from other apps in this space. Essentially, it’s hard to see how this will help anyone catch more fish than competitors offerings.

They need to have a thing where you’re able to show where the fish are what the fish are biting and how much the fish weigh

I have been using the OnWater app for awhile, it makes finding lakes and ways to get to the lake much easier then traditional ways.
