Getting started with the app:
1. Login with your Ooma phone number and password. Please note that the app works with the primary number on your Ooma account, not additional numbers. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by visiting My Ooma.
2. Make unlimited domestic calls without using your cellular plan minutes. The Ooma application makes calls using the Internet, also known as Voice Over IP (VoIP). Make sure that you have a strong Internet connection, either Wi-Fi or 3G/4G, to ensure the highest voice quality.
3. Make international calls for low rates. Visit My Ooma to purchase international calling credits or to sign up for the Ooma World calling plan which includes unlimited calls to more than 60 countries.
4. Dial numbers in your iPhone’s contact list or set up a list of Favorites for quick access from the Ooma app.
5. Get alerts for new voicemail and listen to them conveniently on your phone. You can delete messages or file them into folders, all from the app.
6. View your call history, manage your privacy settings, and more.
The Ooma app requires iOS 7.0 and higher.

Am physically disabled and love my Ooma home phone
The product is excellent. Ooma staff will assist so you get the most out of the device. Ooma app allows me to use my iPad as a phone if nursing staff leave handset (accidentally) out of my reach. I love my independence. Thank you Ooma Telo. Purchased premiere package. Pay annually. Used Ethernet cable. Excellent reception. If any issues ie hang ups when on hold- Ooma staff increased bandwidth. No longer an issue. Have had Ooma for one year, wouldn’t trade it.

I can check voicemails on my home line while out of country and call friends and relatives back using the same home line instead of getting charged hefty rooming fees. Thank you Ooma
Good overall but call quality isn’t great
Overall worth getting and like the telephone service and that it has this app too. Often the call quality is choppy and needs improvement but can live with it for now. If that was improved I could even give 5 star ;)
Works good, but…
I have used Ooma for at least 10 years now and it works well. We travel a lot and it works great to both receive and send phone calls from abroad - literally anywhere with wifi or cellular data through the iPhone app. I would rate this service 10 stars if I could send and receive text messages from abroad through the iPhone app without upgrading to the office pro version. I am not a professional so how about a higher level for the home user that includes texting? Other than texting, this home phone service is fantastic! I also have the second line and fax connected.
User agreement
What a scary user agreement, threw me off right in the beginning. Not using it.
It’s ok, but it’s down a lot relative to land line
The service is disconnected for a noticeable amount of time once every month or two. This is about 10x more than a traditional land line. Having said that, with call filtering we get a lot less spam.

Incoming calls don’t work
Very disappointed!! Incoming calls don’t work. You cannot hear the person on the other side and this is just horrible
Can not receive incoming calls
The app consistently drops incoming calls. It will ring but when answering it results in an error with only the message “something went wrong”. Very dissatisfied after spending money on the home phone set up and number.
