The story: Alex is a bright, rebellious teenager who brings her new stepbrother, Jonas, to an overnight party on a strange, old military island. But the senior-year tradition takes a scary turn when she stumbles upon the island’s cryptic past in this World War II-inspired supernatural narrative. GamesBeat calls this award-winning thriller "a big next step for adventure games."
Play this adventure story as Alex and change the narrative with your choices in this thriller:
• Explore a haunted island: The scary secrets simmering just beneath the hauntingly beautiful veneer of Edwards Island will forever change your perception of reality. Are you ready for an adventure?
• Contact the supernatural: Rumor has it that if you stand in just the right spot, you can use a radio to tune into a scary station that doesn't exist on Edwards Island. Turn the radio dial, activating ways to save your friends and communicate with ghosts.
• Forge or destroy bonds — your choices matter: Will you encourage your best friend to ask out his crush? Can you close the distance between yourself and your new stepbrother? Be mindful — your choices will impact your relationships and inform how you tackle supernatural threats.
Create your story again and again, with multiple endings driven by your narrative choices.

I’m really frustrated with this game because I had no idea that a Netflix account was required just to play. I cleared up space on my phone, deleting apps and my video’s that I can’t get back, all in preparation to try this game, only to find out that you can’t even start it without a Netflix account. I don’t have one, and now I feel like I wasted all that time and effort for nothing. The game itself looks amazing, and the graphics are top-notch, which is why it’s so disappointing that I can’t experience it. Because of this, I’m giving the game a one-star rating instead of the five stars it deserves based on its quality. I understand that developers need to make money, but forcing players to sign up for a Netflix account just to play feels like a major letdown. I just wanted to enjoy the game, but instead, I’m left upset and frustrated. Moral of the story: I’m very disappointed, and I can’t help but feel that this requirement was an unnecessary roadblock.
Chill, moody, and futuristic
I love this game so much, played it about three times now. I love the animation, the dialogue, the scenery and how chill this game is. The interactive features in this game was also nice and especially how we could choose our responses rather than have no choice. The game does get a little glitchy but in general, an interesting experience.
My favorite game
I love the many different directions the story can take and the ending. You can play this game multiple times and end up with a different outcome each time.
I love the game a lot but I’m having a little bit of problems
This game is amazing and I’m probably going to play it many more times but I’m having a little bit of problems like with climbing the rocks or mountain or whatever it’s like the character is stuck on it and it take me a while to get the character off. Another thing is sometimes when I’m just moving the character and I stop them for a second and I try to move them again the won’t move at all. One last thing is sometimes when a character is following Alex the character gets stuck and it’s just dialogue which is kind of annoying.
Good game
This game is really intriguing, it has an interesting storyline. However it should save in more places instead of having to start over.
I’ve played the game 3 times choosing different options each time and it all ends up a bit too similar with the exceptions of Michael being alive or Clarissa being sacrificed.
One of the times I chose to go with Ren instead of Jonas only to end up with Jonas following me in the end anyway the story should change with the options.
Also it should be a faster way to walk or get through scenes and through places there should also be a way to speed up the words and to have captions for when the radio is on. But overall good game.
my Oxenfree review
I have never liked a game that bad it's so interesting, and I love how it's multiple choices. i have never finished a game like that so this my first and I love it. one of the best games ever!
A little overrated, but
You can’t hear any of the characters glitchy the movement is kind of bad and why does this cost money? Bro i do love the game. And the story. But the second version. Is a little better.
Literally never boring!
This game is so good and has a very interesting story with well written characters! This is also a horror game witch I like and the voice acting is so good! Get this game!
Needs audio adjustment settings.
There are no settings for audio, so the voice acting is totally drowned out by the music. With how frequently characters talk over each other, it’s extremely frustrating not being able to hear them. On top of that, you’re given such a short amount of time to select responses. So if you’re trying to keep up with dialogue through subtitles, it’s easy to miss chances to respond because the options go away before the preceding dialogues subtitles do. Just one single volume slider for music would have massively improved the game. Hopefully the 2nd one has more options.
uhhhh idk
Welp anyways PLS MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT THIS ITS AMAZING
