Paddle Ways Water Maps Tracker Reviews

Google Earth is Better

Dated important info like showing a boat ramp that washed away 7 years ago on my local river as a current access point.

Fake ramps?

1DanSmith on

United States

Neat idea but my area was full of access points that don’t exist. Almost like there was an algorithm run to find bodies of water and scatter boat ramps around to make it look like there’s more data than they actually have.

Makes Planning Easy

I do really wish dams were marked by default, and that blocked waterways could be reported by users. Also an estimated trip time function would be cool :)

Annoying pop up

BeefxSupreme on

You guys need to remove the constant pop up to try and make me enable location services to get irrelevant notifications, needs to be fixed or I’ll stop using this app

Great app for comprehensive paddle routes

SurfSUP Adv. on

United States

This app is a great one stop shop for paddlers looking to get local knowledge, levels, and put in and take out info. Recommended for local knowledge and checking routes and definitely for those traveling and looking to find new spots.

Nice new paddling app

I am just getting started with whitewater kayaking, but I think this app will be helpful in detecting rapids. Look forward to using it on the river.

Great idea poor execution

Saltwaterrust on

I started looking at local waterways. The best boat ramp that is extremely popular with all paddle powered craft next to my house is not listed. The boat ramps near by listed are power boat ramps with minimal parking and not great paddling areas the town ways to water specifically created for kayaks etc. are not listed. Next I checked the map for one of my favorites the west branch of the Penobscot in ME made famous by Henry Thoreau. The west branch has both seriously white water and the classic swift water route that Henry used. The grades of white water are marked but this app considers all of the west branch to be the same. No campsites along the swift water trip are marked. No details of at all just this is the west branch of the Penobscot there are some rapids and some boat ramps. This lack of info is frustrating and potentially dangerous for inexperienced paddlers relying on this app for guidance

I love this app for finding new paddling locations.

Free Version not Worth it

doczhivago on

It would be nice if some features were available in the free version. It’s just a map unless you pay.

Fresh way to find & navigate rivers

TWkayak on

United States

I am pretty stoked to find a new app that can help me find and research new runs and see where I am at while on a stretch of river. Stoked on this!
