I was double charged for the membership. I contacted support and was told to contact Apple for a refund. I checked, double checked, and triple checked that i canceled the correct, duplicate membership. I was correct. The charge date for the membership i currently have is the same date as the correct charge in the account but set for 2025. I received my refund, and was charged for the duplicate membership again. I’ve sent a message to customer support, and this review is staying up until i reach resolution.
If you follow the worldly sense of morality that is so pervasive nowadays this app is great for you! But if things like threesomes are off limits for your relationship I don’t recommend this app.
love app
I’ve been using Paired for quite some time with my partner to add some fun to our long-distance relationship. While I appreciate the concept of the app, I have a significant issue with the limitations of the free version. Without a premium subscription, the app feels almost useless. The one free question per day is underwhelming, and users can't select categories or personalize the questions. As a result, my partner and I often receive questions that are either irrelevant or quite dull, which defeats the purpose of sparking meaningful conversations. I believe it would greatly enhance the user experience if Paired offered more options for free users, allowing for a more engaging and dynamic interaction. Overall, I’d love to see improvements in this area to make the app more enjoyable for everyone.
I love this app. We’re just giggling and googling over our responses. Definitely gets the butterflies going.
It’s actually kinda exciting especially the quizzes and wait to get his answers is thrilling! It’s only day one and I love it!
My wife and I started using paired about a month ago. We have really enjoyed it so far. The fun questions which lead to interesting and sometimes tough conversations has been a welcomed injection of “us-focused” thought and discussion. I have one major complaint though, many of the questions are not super relevant to us. We have been together for over twenty years and married for over 15 of those years. We have a single income home that allows us to just barely not live paycheck to paycheck. We live this way because my wife and I decided together it would be best for our children if she focused on them during their major formative years. So finance based questions about splitting checks or who pays for what, entire games focused on the “early/courting/dating” part of the relationship which we are beyond, and the games/questions focused on other topics not relevant to us feel impossible to answer/play. I understand we can skip these and do one of the many other activities, but we both like to complete our “daily paired” (for those who haven’t used the app yet, daily paired are 3 daily activities focused on the “areas of importance” you select when you first join the app). Many times, all 3 activities are not relevant to a couple like us. I have a recommendation which may fix this, but I know nothing about application coding. So, I’m not sure how hard the implementation of such a recommendation would be. Regardless, here it is: the intake questionnaire is rather minimal. A positive feature for premium members could be to provide a more robust and detailed questionnaire that works with your algorithms to better understand the couple, what part of their couple’s journey they’re in, and build plans to better target the aspects of things like finances and quality time and the like that are important to them. This would prevent couples from getting games that are focused on a part of the financial considerations of early dating that may not factor into relationships which are much further along. Finances is not the only topic where this is an issues. It’s just an easy example. I understand this type of work would likely require a relationship counselor and/or social worker review of the questionnaire results which takes time, effort, and money. But I will say, if the “daily paired” felt more targeted toward us and relevant to our current relationship goals, issues, and status, that’s something I would pay for. Right now your annual premium cost is not very much (
If you are severely insecure, a Millennial or younger, or never had a heart-to-heart conversation with someone, this app might be for you. If you’re Gen-X or passed Kindergarten you already learned: don’t put yourself first; speak up if you want to be heard and listen when others speak. Kindergarten is Relationship 101; that’s the actual point of Kindergarten. I should know, I’ve taught it. That’s the whole point of this app: it’s kindergarten for relationships. It’s pathetic Gamification of Communication. It’s for people that learned how to flirt/communicate over IM or get emotionally attached playing Sims. I learned more about relationships by flirting in elementary school than through this app. In fact, Gamification of Material has been proven unsuccessful in Education (your “play center” turns on in your brain, not the “learning center”), why would it work for relationships? My soon-to-be ex-wife wanted this app to reconnect, after asking for a divorce. 20 years together and she says she’s learning something new about me every day and feels closer to me. I’ve done close to 100 activities and have “said” nothing new. All Paired did was reinforce that she failed Kindergarten while I passed with flying colors. If your partner requests this app, instantly end the relationship. Based on the questions I’ve been answering they: A) are not secure in themselves and B) were never really invested in you or the relationship in the first place.
It would be nice to add other: with a typed in answer as one of the quiz options. Otherwise this app is fun so far.
