Panasonic Music Streaming Reviews

Needs stability update

Gaara of de Funk on

Australia

As of November 26, 2023 needs a stability fix as app crashes upon opening using iOS 17.1.1 Prior to this app worked great.

It’s not that bad…

Lucky_Beats on

Australia

All things considered, I actually found this multi-room speaker / music streaming app not all that bad. Yeah sure it could do with some tweaking and fix some bugs but it costs nothing, so I’m not complaining.

Good app, compromised by abandoned Qualcomm ecosystem

rosskhan on

Australia

The promise of the Qualcomm AllPlay ecosystem is gradually fading. Some of the functionality provided by the Panasonic app was previously supported through Qualcomm AllPlay Jukebox, which no longer works with newer mobile OSes (eg. iOS 1+). The re-streaming works OK, the ability to group with other Qualcomm AllPlay products also works (eg. Laser branded products), however users can expect the functionality to fade over the next few years, rendering these products an empty shell of their true capabilities.

Please fix this -> wifi makes app crash after a few uses.

KrtNthny on

Australia

Hello. I used to use an older app called AllPlay jukebox for my old wifi speaker made by Qualcomm and that app no longer exists. I found this app works for controlling the volume of the speaker which is great. But after a few app launches the app refuses to open and just crashes when I try to open it again. If I switch to 4G signal the app opens fine but I can’t control the speaker. When I turn wifi back on the app crashes immediately. The next day it’s fine again for a few launches then crashes every time until the next day. Hope this helps you to find and fix the issue. Thanks.

TheRat, Australia - simple

TheRat66 on

It’s simple, does what it says. Stability problems in the networking of speakers were all fixed when I went back to my (non-ISP) router, occasionally (every couple of months) a speaker loses sync which is fixed by power cycling. The app may not have loads of more modern features but it’s straight to the point. A shame it’s not getting further development since the whole AllPlay ecosystem appears dead. Will keep using it as long as it stays in the App Store!

Frustrating

Does NOT stay connected to Panasonic radio.

Hard to set up

Thommo1966 on

Australia

It’s very hard to set up Can work out how to get Google Music to connect as I don’t want Spotify Wouldn’t suggest to use it

Confusing and unstable

PFinAdelaide on

Australia

The app takes a bit of getting used to but eventually it makes sense. Connections are sound, though at times slow on both 2.4 and 5 ghz. On several occasions very loud white noise has erupted inexplicably.
