I have not tried previous versions of the app. I installed the current version and quickly determined that, after the first launch, subsequent launches would hang on the loading window. If you rely on this app, I recommend you hold off on upgrading.
The search functionality is below par on the iPhone. Not useful subscription. TP has been replaced with a not useful colour range if you work in textiles or garment industries. Would not recommend this app
Very annoyed that the fandeck app I loved using was replaced without adequate explanation to Pantone Studio, which does not appear to have an equivalent. I feel the interface is confusing and could do with a re-design. The "Images" colour matching component seems to do point sampling, which is therefore incapable of providing the general colour "feel" of a region of an image. I feel one needs to read any and all documentation to work out how to do what one wants and why the app does what it does the way it does.
I want to go back to the old version the one I already paid for, why should I pay more? If I knew I had to pay more I would have never updated to this version.
This is an iPhone app... Why does it say it's compatible with the iPad When it's not. I mean what designer wants a pixely Blown up half size iPhone app on an iPad when browsing colours...? Am I missing something here...
... that works brilliantly. My only issue is that the Email Palette function doesn't get through some email client spam filters.
All the pantone books in your pocket! Nice app - all web & print designers should have this.
