Paper by Dropbox

Beautiful app, but it simply isn’t functioning on iPad. Very hard to summon the typing cursor despite repeated clicks, and the timeline feature is completely unresponsive. I’ll use the app in Safari until iPad app comes up to speed, hopefully soon!

I like it but I haven’t found out how to get the program to Read Aloud what I have written there.

Have been an avid Paper user for long as it’s been around, which means I’ve got a lot of workflows wrapped around it and a lot of Paper documents. Have long loved the app, however it seems a change a few months ago somewhere in Dropbox’ world has broken all placed images in all documents - existing and new - on all my iOS devices (ipad, iphone). Responses from Dropbox support suggest the issue is “known”. Getting impatient, still remains broken..

Every time.

Just wish there was a dark mode like on Dropbox or the desktop version of this app.

This is a simple, yet very powerful collaborative app. I use it ever day and love it. The iOS version has some bugs and it’s missing some features. It does not seem that Dropbox has invested much over the past few years. Imagine if they did! Dream on…

I followed the instructions on my iPhone 15 pro max to verify my email address, it says I successfully verified but then paper displays some weird error message. There appears to be no workaround.

I love that Paper is more structured and formalized than something that’s more like a traditional word processor. The mobile app is capable, but a bit buggy and could really benefit from a dark mode. If there is one, I can’t figure out how to activate it. The main Dropbox app is in dark mode, but paper is not. It also lists duplicates of the paper docs in my Dropbox which is a bit weird. But as far as editing goes, it works.

I’ve been using Paper for a long time and I love that it does a few things really well and then just gets out of my way. I love offline mode and syncing, it is great for writing in a park, on a plane, or anywhere else without service. I wish there was 1:1 feature parity between the browser and apps, and I hate the way it tries to organize my files, but otherwise I have few complaints. A solid 4/5 stars.
