Paperless: Lists + Checklists

I have been using this app for years and I absolutely love it. It’s especially useful for making packing checklists and having them sync across devices. However… The backup and sync options are limited to DropBox. Originally, the app had no back up and sync options so I was delighted when Dropbox integration arrived (back when Dropbox was free). DropBox is now pretty expensive, especially for someone like me who is already paying for Apple iCloud and MS One Drive through other subscriptions. If further integrations could be developed for backup and sync, I would happily give Paperless the full five stars and would even be happy to pay a small amount for it. Currently it is the only reason I’m continuing to pay £10 pm for a DropBox account.

I have used this every single day multiple times a day for many years. It’s so handy! It has just enough features to make it very functional yet not so many that you spend time navigating the app, or being confused about how to implement certain features. I like the little icons for each list. It’s easy to view the summary of all lists in the home screen and the icons make it quick to recognise the one you want. My only wish is that there would be a feature to keep you at a specific point in your list when you return to it. I have a verrry long list of things I keep track of during each year (which I don’t want in separate lists) so each time I access it I have to do a longer and longer scroll as the year goes on.

Be aware when you upgrade to full version that you need to transfer all your lists from Paperless Lite to Paperless. Very useful App and good value

This is the best checklist app ever and in fact it is better than the newer app, ikiru, which the developer offered later. Having used both, the paperless format is easily reusable and in a better format. Utilising tick boxes rather strike through, i use this time and time again. Lets hope the developer continues to support this app & they do not discontinue it.

A simple yet highly effective app that I’ve returned to annually for simple workable lists. No frills so it just works superbly well! I use it for those master lists for annual to-dos. It has been a trusted app I return to when needed. I applaud the developer for not trying to inflate or over-complicate with additional features.

Having had a lot of problems transferring lists from iPhone 5 to new phone and having spent £2.99 to buy an app I had already bought, I now find that the app has ‘lost’ all my carefully created lists. They were there and suddenly vanished. This was such good app on iPhones 5 and 6, what is going on?Very disappointing.

I’ve used Paperless for years. For instance I have houses in the UK and abroad and have permanent check lists I use when traveling from one to the other. However in the current Coronavirus situation it is proving priceless. I’ve always had one massive shopping list that contains about every item I would ever buy from a supermarket. As I’m currently isolated and housebound my neighbour does my shopping. From this ticked list I untick all the items I need and email to him the unchecked part of the list. As I’d already introduced him to Paperless a year or so back, he pastes the unchecked list into his version and there we have it, my shopping list in his phone he uses to buy my items. I’ve always loved this app, but now I can say it’s genuinely proving to be a lifesaver, keeping me safe from this virus.

I love this app! Great for making any kind of lists, checklist or not, customisable, no ads, just a simple but versatile and super useful app. I use this for my shopping list, to do list, wish list, movies to watch, books to read, New Years resolutions/goals.

Each item in a list can have information about the item. For example: a list could itemise a teaching course week by week and any explanation about a particular session can be attached without losing the list. A Christmas Card list could include addresses or other information about persons on the list, and you can tick off those you have sent cards to.
