The App is free and provides you with all the necessary information for visiting the site properly, including the security rules and the ticket purchase info. You can download for free the various visit paths of the park and keep track of your position and of the points of interest during the visit.

I checked this app 40+ times a day 30 days before we go over 5 days and was never able to secure tickets. Apparently they let third parties buy them all up to sell in at higher prices. So I can get tickets through them at 30 euro per child when children are free. How greedy can you get? I’m so disappointed that I won’t be able to show my children the colleseum like I did when I was their age. I thought Rome was a city of culture? Yet is seems it’s only accessible for the rich who can afford to pay 100s of euros for a family to visit. Shame on you.
Avoid this app
Paid €5 for the audio guide included in this app and it’s extremely confusional. The numbers on the map -which are supposed to help you to roam the place easily- are actually put in lo logical way, just randomly. Even the people who work there are not able to help pinpoint the locations.
The app could have potential but not like this
Avoid
Although it is informative and has audio, it does not pick up your location (even though I had it on). So in the Roman forum the app was literally useless. Plus there are tracks missing.

Rubbish app
Live in Roma and just met a visiting friend at the entrance of the forum to find that tickets are now only available online with a €2 charge per ticket, not per booking. Rip off! Downloaded the app directly to purchase tickets, didn’t work, made all the correct selections and at the end there was an ‘error with transaction’. Great. Not!
Can’t purchase
You put in all of your details and you can’t put in your card details (3 times). What a useless bit of tech!!!
SCAM
Absolute scam would do 0 stars if I could, they take your money for English audio guide and don’t give anything in return. Rubbish and just another of the thousands of scams in Rome. Terrible place, terrible app.
