As a player since 2023, I am severely disappointed with the quality drop of the game and with the recent patch, it’s unbearable. The game suffers from terrible marketing (relying on fans to market it for them), meta-whaling, difficult levels, low rewards, writing quality dropping, character design issues, occasional art errors, sexualization, poor handling of topics, and so much more. Since 2024 the quality of the game has significantly drop. If you are interested in checking this game out, be warned that the tower defense levels are ridiculously unbalanced and the game does not do a good job teaching you how to play. You will have to rely on other players and S1NS to have organized teams/any success rates. The same goes for story as the story either caters to sexualization/harem/otome levels narrative, poor presentation of subjects, or empty. It can be dry and lackluster. I normally do not leave reviews for games, but with the recent patch I am nothing but infuriated. This feels on purpose and like a lack of care on the team’s behalf. Thank you for reading my feedback. It saddens me to even write this. I was not expecting the story to be this good, and the sinners all have their own charms. Hella for me especially was a standout, her first interrogation was an incredible way to uncover more of her story. The gameplay is pretty fun, it’s Arknights but with more movement and a higher difficulty. Which is where the game does struggle a little. The constant micromanaging can be a little overwhelming, but if you can handle it then it’s not an issue. The art style is fantastic, and I highly recommend this game to any tower defense fan or anyone looking for a dark story. I've been playing this game near release, and I love the art style, the gameplay, the story, and how ftp friendly it generally is. However, the content is excruciatingly few and few between. You usually get new events once per month and they'll have only around 2-3 hours of content for the whole month, main story chapters take over a year to come out and aren't that long, and the roguelike gamemode they added is boring and also only gets new content every 6~ months. It seems to me as if the devs aren't really interested in trying to build on the game and are content with just sticking with the status quo they currently have. For me, I'm not interested in playing the exact same game everyday for years on end, so I'm quitting, which is a shame since I love the characters, story, art, etc, but at this point I don't think things will improve. The third year anniversary will probably come around and the game will still be the exact same then too. I'm giving this game 3 stars. If you can look past lack of updates and don't mind getting on 5 minutes a day to do the exact same thing everyday for potentially years, then you'll probably like this game. But if you want any amount of variety, I would give this game a hard pass. P.s: The new ui update is baffling and imo is worse to navigate than the original. I have no idea why they would change it and make it worse.
