The app has been freezing the phone for the past few weeks. It becomes quite annoying
They best calculator hands down. I’ve been using PCalc for 10 years. It’s the best RPN calculator in the App Store.
I feel I have wasted my money.
Quality, customisable, a very well made app that I just love!
Despite a high price this app's interface is unfortunately unintuitive and moreover doesn't appear to offer any of the dynamic input styles seen in any modern scientific calculator.
Since I purchased PCalc in July 2009 it has been my "go to" calculator - the one I use pretty much every day, whether it be for simple arithmetic, conversions, or trig. It's not as though I lack other physical and iOS calculators - I have many - but PCalc is simply the best looking and best to use. If you don't like something, there's a high chance you can "fix it" by changing one of the many settings. Most probably after first installing PCalc you will try all the keypads and display-fonts, and select your favourite, and that will be it. Over time you will find that PCalc is also an advanced calculator that meets pretty much anyone's needs with programmable functions and user-defined constants. The only times I use other calculators are where I have a special need, e.g. for an HP calculator-emmulator, time/date calculations, or building calculations. The majority of iOS calculators are infrequently updated. PCalc gets regular updates which are always well thought-out. Details of any changes are immediately available within the application, along with usage notes. Just tap the Help button. I wish all developers would do this. PCalc looks stunning on both iPhone and (especially) iPad. Most universal calculators are simply bigger on an iPad, but PCalc is optimised for each device. Apple and Microsoft are fond of the word "gorgeous". I'm sure you'll agree that PCalc is gorgeous-worthy. Everyone should buy PCalc.
PCalc is the best calculator you can buy for iPad/iPhone. One of my favorite features is being able to instantly email a copy of the transaction tape. The themes are first class and the app looks and feels superb. On the downside, the "42" app icon is just ugly enough to keep PCalc off my home screen. Please change the icon... it tarnishes the app. The splash screen is another annoyance that delays startup just long enough to be painful when you're in a hurry. Worse still, the splash screen is a giant version of the same ugly icon.
The best on the iPhone store.
Home Screen widget used to be great but it’s been gone for years and hasn’t been updated to keep up with iOS
