This is the only OCR I've been able to find which recognises my handwriting - it's probably about 98% accurate in my experience, so you will still need to review the exported text afterwards, but it's a huge time saver compared to rewriting everything!
Extremely impressed by Pen-to-Print. Accurately converted pencil ‘field’ notes taken in fairly adverse conditions into data blocks that were inserted directly into Excel. Interface is intuitive and allows simple checking and corrections to be made to final text/data before exporting. Excellent app support. Highly recommended.
Looking good so far
Thought this app showed initial promise. On using it more it scrambles the order of the words too much from the initial photo and it take awhile to the correct the out of order words. Also clicking on done on each line becomes annoying and why can’t you just click on edit for another line to save on clicks? Also some edit buttons on lines don’t work which all leads to frustrating experience. It has promise but is too buggy currently to be used in my workflow.
I’ve looked at several apps and this app has the highest quality conversion from handwriting to text. I am using it to read 19th century documents and it can handle antiquated handwriting.

Useful app, excellent recognition of handwriting, even quite scruffy (like mine!) 5 stars for this. There are a couple of glitches, which is why I’ve given a lower overall rating: - the camera is unsteady, normally starts up wrong, and squashes the image. - the app inserts a space at the beginning of each line, which you have to go through and delete from every line. If they sorted these out, it would be 5 stars. Cheers!
Amazing App
Most people can't recognise my handwriting, so I can't expect a computer to do much better, but I was surprised to find that there were various different languages in the results along with things like "Thursclay". I also found that the way editing line by line was taking up a lot of space and, when trying to edit one, the entirety of the line does not fit in the screen. I understand that this is mostly on my end, and the app works just fine when the paper is not being bent and the text is more readable (great for printed text and other people's writing), but I think there should be more options to customise the design.
