Pepper Rewards FAQ
Is Pepper Rewards free?
Yes, Pepper Rewards is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Pepper Rewards legit?
⚠️ Warning: Multiple users of Pepper Rewards have mentioned scam or fraud. Investigate thoroughly before using this app.
Have used consistently for two years, and my most recent giftcard has no barcode as many other reviewers have mentioned. I’m out $44 and am really hoping for a refund (or a working giftcard!). I’ve emailed customer service and have tried to call, but haven’t had any response yet.
**CALL YOUR BANK FOR A CHARGEBACK IF YOU WERE SCAMMED**
Used to LOVE Mucho, but the moment they switched to Pepper, the customer support stopped.
There is literally no one working customer service for this App. No one replies to emails or phone calls.
They are stealing points and charging customers for gift cards and NOT delivering them.
If they scammed you like many, many others, call your bank and tell them you want to do a chargeback. This is the only way you'll get your money back from this failing company.
Next, in the App store, scroll down on the main page for Pepper. Click the "Report a Problem" button and report this company as a scam by using the dropdown menu after you log in to your Apple ID. If you were scammed, this the best way to get recourse on this and try to help other people from being taken advantage of.
They're stealing money and just getting away with it and have no business being in the App store by this point.
CHARGEBACK FROM THE BANK
Apple needs to pull this app from the store. I was a loyal customer of Moocho. When Pepper took over, not going to lie, I was disappointed. Due to past experience, every time this happened, a good company turns to garbage and things end badly. Other reviewers included the very thing I came to say. I purchased a gift card, and there was no barcode to scan at the register. I called twice, and I emailed them twice explaining the issue. There is zero support. Finally, after a week with no response from Pepper, I called my bank and requested a chargeback. It's a shame that it had to come to this. I'm also deleting my account. Do not waste your time with Pepper.
It might be time to go
I have been using this app for over 13 YEARS. The past 3 weeks have been like watching the Titanic sink. First I purchased a gift card with NO barcode but I was also given a message they wouldn’t charge my bank. Well, they did. So that was useless. I did have luck in reaching customer service, but instead of refunding my money, they just put it as a credit. Unfortunately, their app is STILL not working so I can’t even access the credit.
Garbage, no support
I bought a gift card and was charged but never issued the gift card in the app nor was sent one via email. The phone number goes to VM and after nearly a month nobody responds to
Emails. They seem to have a wide spread issue as other report the same. Yes another company way over its head.
good platform
The app is very good. I've been trying and buying from it for years, but it's been a lot of trouble in the last few months. I entered my first name and last name in my profile. When my initial verification request asked me to send my ID, the system rejected it and blocked my account, telling me it was for security reasons.
They told me that for security reasons they blocked my account from calling the numbers they put on the screen. I'm tired of calling and writing and sending emails and no one answers and for this reason I haven't been able to make purchases.
the customer service is a bit terrible because it's like a ghost because nobody answers you once they answered me in practically two years that I have been buying with them, but they have never been able to answer a call or my messages, we hope that the new 2.0 system can repair all this and that they can invest in a better customer service where at least by chat they can attend to our problems with the application that is giving many headaches and enough account blocking for any reason and more when you have already earned a quantity of points for which they are lost .. my wife was blocked with more than 2 million accumulated points so I do not recommend letting her collect so many points but rather consume them quickly before they are lost ..
Please update and improve those customer service points and your system, which blocks many accounts and discourages people from continuing to use it.
Not working
I have been trying to contact customer service after all the issues having since yesterday after I purchased giftcards. I got charged but no gift card received. And I can’t even redeem my points. Please help and I need my money back if can’t get giftcards. Thanks
Peoper
Terrible customer service and terrible app if you want to lose your money when the app does not create a bar code, but takes the money out of your account, and does not want to refund your money.
The points don’t work
After the recent update, most of the companies were removed. The points I accumulated cannot be used and there is no option to do so anymore.
Absolutely NO customer service!!!
If you have problems with a purchased gift card you will get no help either by phone or email. I’ve attempted both and get no call back or email response. I used to love this app and have used it for years. I want them to succeed but I’m feeling more and more like they are having issues, starting with Amazon not allowing point accruals on their sales. Same with Home Depot. Walmart was down for a bit and now back up. No response from the company regarding this.
