Outstanding Teaching and Learning Tool

astroclubguy on

I taught physics for 30 years and wish this tool had been around back then (the phones too of course). I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and the software says it doesn’t detect a proximity sensor. Of course the phone has one and it’s functioning properly so I think there’s a bug in detecting the sensor’s presence. Other than that, I feel this is an essential tool for the introductory physics curriculum. UPDATE: Proximity sensor detection is working in the latest update! Thank you!

Inaccurate barometer

Just fooling around with the app and found that the barometer is way way off. Right now, the actual barometer is about 30.2 and the app shows 26.3

A nice tool - but I have an improvement suggestion

Could you report separately GPS vertical and horizontal accuracies? On most devices they are available as separate numbers. Will be happy to update to 5 stars when done! UPD: 5 stars now. Thank you for listening!

Great app for discovering sensors!

My only complaint for this app is that the oscilloscope’s range is too low and the multi-record menu doesn’t show some of the text. Other than that, it’s a great utility!

iPhone 11 Pro Max issues

aguywghb on

United States

The sound meter graph auto scaling hasn’t worked on my iPhone 11 or iPad Pro (6th gen) for quit some time now. I sure hope that can be fixed soon. Otherwise, this is an absolutely outstanding application!

Excellent

Offers many tools for free. Pro version is a very reasonable price and a one-time purchase. Developers continue to update and improve the app. Only slight complaint is the UI, I wish it was a little more polished and nice looking. But for what it is, it’s great.

Very good

This app is simple yet powerful, free and adds free. Get your kids and show them how a smartphone uses sensors, talk about the physics. Do your own experiments. Thank you for this app.
