Using Pinbox on an iPod Touch or an iPad:
Like other map apps, Pinbox uses GPS to determine your location. iPods and Wi-Fi-only iPads do not have a GPS receiver. On these devices, Pinbox provides your approximate location using information based on your proximity to known Wi-Fi networks (when on and available). The more accurate the available information, the smaller the circle identifying your position on the map. This feature is not available in all areas. Known Wi-Fi networks are predominantly in urban areas. An internet connection is required to load maps, look up addresses, and search. Although Pinbox can be installed on iPads, it’s not formatted for the larger iPad screen - it runs doubled like all other iPhone apps.

Everything I want 👍👍👍
Have been saving places I want to visit on Google Maps for yonks, including all the eateries, interest-looking shops and things to see on city breaks and for when I move to London this year. But I get frustrated that I can’t make a note about why I want to visit a particular place; my list is huge and I forget what it was that caused me to add some places. And so Pinbox fills that gap. I can pin all the eateries in the city that catch my eye after reading a rave review, with a note on where it was recommended or which dish had caught my eye, (or was it just the decor?), and add photos if need be. And then I can have another map for the galleries that look good, with a note on who designed it or what exhibit caused me to add it to my list. Another for shops that look interesting etc. And they are all available offline, and I can toggle between them. Interface looks great and is very intuitive. Think it uses Apple Maps from the look of the detailing on the maps. Can’t think of anything it’s lacking, definitely worth the price A+
The best waypoint app!!
I’ve been using Pinbox for a few years now. It’s ideal fo plotting all of the sights, restaurants, my shops, my wife’s shops , subway stations etc for our holidays Can’t praise it enough
Versatile, very impressed
I've been using this app in the real world for about a month. I was using Badger, but for what I need this is better and faster. Saving maps is a breeze great for doing a backup, archiving or displaying the pins for other uses. I could do with a few more pin colours and the ability to hide certain pin colours on the map ( filter options). You can filter by saving and reloading the map in another name & deleting unwanted pins - but the results are on a separate map. Great app

Limited pins
Would have been a great app, but after spending hours dropping pins, you run out of pins.
Nice easy app to use
Nice and easy, just a case of dropping pins and naming them. Since the update the app can now share whole maps as well as individual pins to other Pinbox users, making it much more useful.
Useful site visit tool
I am a field engineer and visit lots of sites. Easy to use. Select a map to store my different site locations and info. Click on a pin, select waze and off I go. Great simple to use app
Happy mapping
The latest version of pin box gives me everything I need. It's great to be able to see something (an interesting building, post box, scenery) and pin exactly where it was and add a photo!
Puts multiple pins in iPhone maps!!
The app does just what I wanted. I travel a lot with multiple destinations every day. I can now drop multiple pins, visualise and plan my days better. I use an iphone6 iOS 8.1.3 and it's fine.
