Love it …new today and a very handy piece of kit

The idea is amazing and the Pivo itself is great but the app needs work, as the recording never saves, and always cuts out.

If you want to live stream, you have use Restream. If you’re happy with a big watermark over your screen that’s fine. If you want to remove it, it will cost you $49 a month. Personally I’m tired of being ripped off, especially when I buy the Pivo black, only to discover it’s going to cost a whole load more to live stream.

Have borrowed my friends red Pivo as a trial before buying my own. Am thinking of purchasing the silver version as it is better suited but the red also is adequate for horses. Did have some teething issues when working out settings and getting used to using it. Can be touchy when predicting next movement as likes to go for a spin around but other than that it’s captured my rides & jumping courses well. Would recommend to family & friends. I do also recommend taking the time to get used to using it before anything major as it did take a few rides to master! Very handy and well priced in replacement for bribes and sour partners filming the skyline!

I bought my Pivo silver for use when riding my horse in an arena and hoping that it might cope with a bit of dog tracking when I did agility with my pooches. Having done quite a lot of research and accepting that for the price there were likely to be imperfections, I finally purchased my Pivo silver in the Black Friday sale. It arrived within 4 days (uk) and is nearly packaged and ready to go! First time I used it I messed up some of the tracking but the second time I used it for a jumping session on my horse and it only lost us once and gave some great footage. I’ve since used it for flat work and lunging and on the odd occasion it has lost us it’s always found is again. Found the support team are super helpful on their Facebook page and updates are regular. Dog tracking is coming soon and I’m super excited to see how that works. Highly recommend this product! Bought the PIVO pod silver for my daughters Christmas present Spent hours trying to get the app to work properly, ended emailing support. They confirmed the PIVO Pod and iPhone X has a bug that prevents you from modifying the tracking speed rendering the PIVO useless Told will be fixed in a future release - but with no timeline ? BEWARE IF YOUR AN IPHONE X USER

Bought this as an affordable option for videoing my horse riding activities. I was fully aware of it’s limitations at point of purchase, but by the time my device arrived (within 10 days) the software had already been improved and capabilities increased. This has continued so that less than six weeks from buying, this amazing piece of kit allows me to record my test riding for online submission. They are now in the process of improving the live link capabilities so those who wish to have remote input from their trainers. Any issues, you just submit a bug report and the team try to address it ASAP. So so impressed and my previously press ganged cameraman can now freely enjoy his retirement.

Wow! What an amazing product, the app along with the Pivo silver is just outstanding. The amazing thing about this product is it’s still under development, the users are the testers and it’s an agile driven product, where the app updates and version changes are prompted by the customer feedback. There is a Pivo Facebook group where lots of advice is posted by users and the Pivo team follow the page and post help and take suggestions for improvement directly from it. Pivo team you are doing a fab job, as a fellow developer who has done a course in AI and ML, I applaud you! Fascinating!

Horse and horse-beta settings are excellent for the lonely horse rider, vaulter and carriage driver - and probably others and I’m pleased with the videos so far. I’m beginning to get the hang of the right settings for my phone when I practise in the arena and I’m looking forward to testing for myself the possibility of having Pivo do its thing while giving me instant feedback to a screen attached to my carriage. Great for home training and also probably for a remote trainer - on my list to try. This is an excellent piece of kit, well-designed, easy to operate and pleasingly robust and simple to charge and switch on. The dedicated Pivo pixies are very responsive, helpful, understanding and professional dealing with queries from their ever-expanding hordes of horsey followers on FB. Check that your phone is on their recommended list otherwise it might be time to get a new one - but it works fine with my 2016 IPhone SE. I recommend reading the blogs, watching the recommended videos and reading the questions and answers on FB before you decide if it’s the right tool for you. I have the silver model which is twice as fast as the red one, but both work fine, reportedly, and mine follows the pony well until I get too close or too far away. This small device is excellent value, relatively easy to use when you invest the time to understand it and very, very impressive. Like the Sony Walkman, no-one knew they needed it but it’s revolutionary, in every sense. Love mine!

Really useful training aid, especially useful to review lessons. The camera doesn’t lie!
