This app is a game changer

Having to juggle diets and meal planning with two coeliacs in the family, Plan to Eat makes this super easy. The gluten free recipes I find online and add to this app can be tagged as gluten free so when I need to cook for the coeliacs in the family I can easily see which recipes are suitable for them. I use this app every single day and the ease of meal planning alone saves me hundreds each year. Thank you ‘Plan to Eat’.

The meal planning app this ADHD mum needs!

I’ve meal planned on and off for years, but always on scrappy bits of paper which get lost, and I never have the discipline to stick to it for long. This meal changing app is life changing! So easy to use, I love the ease of being able to move menus around and import recipes from the web! And the shopping list function - awesome to be able to have different shops on there, and I’m loving being able to ask Siri to add to shopping list when I think of something. I have very few subscriptions, but Plan to Eat is worth every penny!

Why am I having to sign in since latest update?

Love this app but PLEASE stop making me sign in every day. It’s pointless and never happened prior to the new release a week ago. Normally 5* but only 3 till you fix it. Thankz

Love, love this App. I couldn’t go back to planning meals without it. It’s easy to add recipes from a URL and allows me to plan weeks ahead.

Plan, shop, cook all in one!

‘What’s for dinner?’ The continually cry from the family! Mix that with shift work and our busy lives it’s tough to always have quick meals ready to cook without resorting to take away or an expensive one off trip to pick up ingredients. I have used the app for 5 years and I love it. Add your favorite recipes to get started and then add new ones manually or straight from the internet. Use them to plan for a few days, a week or a month. Copy meal plans from one week to another, who remembers what you ate 3 weeks ago! Create your shopping list - check your cupboards and tick off what you’ve got and you’re ready to do the weekly food shop. My teens & husband all use the app for the recipes to cook dinner and answer the ‘what’s for dinner’ question themselves. Thanks for the continued updates, it’s always moving the app forward.

Top drawer app

You can add your own recipes, import them directly from websites, and steal all your friends recipes too 😋 Planning is as easy as drag and drop and choosing how many portions you want. We have a 2 week menu of our favourites, so we can simply drag that in and the next 2 weeks is planned! Takes 20 minutes every fortnight, and our shopping list is made for us! We’ve wasted barely any food since using it. Obviously life can be chaotic at times, and you have to be a bit flexible with your plan. There is a slight learning curve to use all the features, and adding your own recipes is slightly arduous, but well worth the time investment if you use them regularly. You can add meals to the freezer and plan them as leftovers. Nothing has been missed off this app, and it is regularly updated with even better features. 100% recommend

The signing up process doesn't work- it's doesn't send any code to verify your email.

At first I thought it was great but then I didn’t...

Let me explain myself, PTE was life-changing. I loved the ease of importing etc; but when it came to typing in recipes from your favourite cookbook, it becomes a mammoth task. I don’t like how there is a monthly fee. For an app that barely adds any new features on the regular( only doing bug fixes), it’s not worth it. I feel like the design of this very static. There are other apps that do exactly the same and you pay a one off fee. After having the contrast effect, I see a lot of weaknesses. the contrast of their app is that they (some thing to do with board and meal) allow you to scan your cookbook and it converts it into the recipe database, all for a one-off fee, which is the price of PTE’s monthly fee. PTE your app is okay, but to be great you need scanning features and reminders to start cooking. Yes it’s complex coding but it will revolutionise your app and justify the monthly fee.

Niggle

A nice little app. Really good for downloading recipes from the web. My only real niggle is the confusing search ability. The interface is too complicated for the app. Eg There is a search and filter facility but once an ingredient has been entered it looks part of the interface (same font). Unless it’s manually removed any further search comes up with odd choices- if any. Wouldn’t take much to highlight or give a BIG button to cancel the search... sure lots of people don’t have a problem with it.

Great tool

Since I started using this app my everyday menu improved greatly. It’s so easy to use! Brilliant idea.
