Playing the free version of Magnus, but since my last update it started playing long commercials with sound after every game. It’s just too much. No fun in playing anymore. Without the commercials a very nice chess app though.
Love your app Magnus
The AI is terrible. When playing against Magnus at 29 the first few moves are okay, after that it starts making incredibly stupid mistakes and doesn’t respond to your moves. You can just take its queen and rooks without repercussions. Eventually it will just resign the game. Total disappointment, I expected more.
This was a nice app which I actually bought, including the levels. And now all of a sudden advertisement is added and I have to pay 5+ euros to remove the add. That is unfair, you can change an already sold app and then extort your users to pay more by adding adds it. Also, any functionality you have to pay extra, buy coins for undo's, and so on. Given you have chess.com with more functionality, this app cannot be recommended.
What’s in the name? Well, it’s all in the name, I guess, because you pay for the brand name. There are already chess apps available offering analysis, undo moving, giving hints, and those are open source and free to use instead of using ‘brainpower’. I very much like the MagnusTrainer, but this chess program does not add to the experience. If it really had a training mode, analysing your own strengths and weaknesses and offering the lessons, it would be a great step into integration of both the playmagnus and magnustrainer. Now, it seems to be solely for the money. Add: yes, Frenzy is fun indeed!
Play carlsen is a good app. You can play Calsen and that’s very nice. Also you have very much other choices. But if you want some upgrades you need to pay money. And it’s not always responding. Sometimes you even can’t open the app. Verder it’s a good app and you can learn much more than other apps.
Your chess app is the best, not because your Norwegian, but because your an expert in the sports. Good luck staying in the zone S-GM Magnus. One day i will beat you @ chess boxing! Loser! Ha! Greetings from the Netherlands, we will win the next championships. Anish Siri is not the best dutch grandmaster!
Always nice beating the world champion... age 6........
can easily replace your candy crush addiction with something far more instructive
