Plotten: Writing App

It doesn't let me use keyboard? Please dont tell me i need subscription just to type

Used this to try to get back into writing- which made it a real kick in the teeth when 2 days of work got deleted. It seemed like a glitch that I could’ve blamed on something else, but no. I picked it back up cautiously and tried again. Upon closing the app all my writing is deleted & the backups are useless.

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I spent eight hours writing my first book on Plotten, only to find that all my work had disappeared. The app's last backup at 1 am contained no data, and neither did any of the version histories. This is a serious flaw for a writing app, where data security should be paramount. Despite the app's user-friendly design, the loss of my manuscript due to unreliable backup and versioning systems is unacceptable. I reached out to customer support but have yet to receive a solution or even an acknowledgment of the issue. For those considering Plotten, be wary of the app's backup capabilities. Until the developers address this critical issue, I cannot recommend Plotten for any serious writing endeavor.

I like the fact that i can use Plotten for documents other than film scripts and/or novel writing. It is very helpful for my PODCAST, as i write first a story and divide the document in sections. I also add characters as they will make part of the Podcast. Everything is perfect for me using this program. Highly Recommended to Podcasters!

Tried out a writing apps and this one seems to be a good combination of having the right features but is also not overloaded with fluff that I won’t use. Quite intuitive and straightforward.

I spent several days compiling research for storyboarding and the app crashed several times suddenly and now all of the documents are completely gone. Every "Note" tab is empty. Extremely frustrated and angry about this. I'd been using the app for what appeared to be a free mode; but then the app suddenly blocked everything to "Read-Only" and it forces you to make a subscription to continue using. When I went through and confirmed (might as well, I had so much work already started) so much of what I had before is gone, I am terrified of what would happen if I'd had months of work on here instead. Uninstalling and removing. Avoid this app at all costs unless you'd like all your hard work to disappear in an instant.
