Plotten: Writing App

.. if the developer does something very sensible. Move it to a one-time purchase or, an annual thing to continue receiving updates, but you keep what you have if you don't upgrade. This is what these apps are, by virtue, they are not the type of app people want to pay a monthly/annual subscription for. I honestly believe so many apps out there can be far more sucessful if they get this subscription thing out of their heads. Human beings can only stand so many subscriptions in their lives, & these wee apps are never going to be important enough for it. Keep it simple, keep it sane, one price for an app, sell more volume, get more customers, and ignore the crowd of greedy people subscriptions!

to ‘do’ anything.. so you cant actually test it without ‘signing up’ for the thing! I’d buy this. As a one off purchase. I’m not sure I see how many years it will last in the wake of all things AI, therefore instead of £18.00 per year for say, 3-4 years, maybe £15.00-£20.00 as a one off payment might earn the developer a lot more than the out of date, out of touch, out of reach - Subscription model everyone loves to hate because, well, it’s unrealistic to have 100 subscriptions per month that average £5.00, unless, of course you have so much money, you’d have an assistant here, shopping for your apps and then you wouldn’t even be reading this anyway. TL;DR: App looks good. ‘could’ be very helpful. Really should be a one time payment Of about £15-20.00.

Used this to try to get back into writing- which made it a real kick in the teeth when 2 days of work got deleted. It seemed like a glitch that I could’ve blamed on something else, but no. I picked it back up cautiously and tried again. Upon closing the app all my writing is deleted & the backups are useless.

Tried out a writing apps and this one seems to be a good combination of having the right features but is also not overloaded with fluff that I won’t use. Quite intuitive and straightforward.

I spent several days compiling research for storyboarding and the app crashed several times suddenly and now all of the documents are completely gone. Every "Note" tab is empty. Extremely frustrated and angry about this. I'd been using the app for what appeared to be a free mode; but then the app suddenly blocked everything to "Read-Only" and it forces you to make a subscription to continue using. When I went through and confirmed (might as well, I had so much work already started) so much of what I had before is gone, I am terrified of what would happen if I'd had months of work on here instead. Uninstalling and removing. Avoid this app at all costs unless you'd like all your hard work to disappear in an instant.
