I love the desktop and Web apps, but the iPad and iPhone versions have not been updated with the web app and therefore a lot of functionality is missing since months. Therefore two stars for the app pro version.

Clunky and unreliable

The outline and timeline functionality is hopeless for non-linear plots, and attempts to address ordering issues by manually dragging plot cards around the timeline resulted in cards spontaneously vanishing and taking all associated data with them, with no undo function available. Don’t use this unless you’re comfortable with the risk of losing work.

Much better after recent updates

The app is much better and I find it much easier to use. It has not crashed since the update and change of design, and the interactive features are now much smoother. Things used to crash/freeze/not save but that isn’t happening for me anymore. I’m really pleased as it makes using this app much more enjoyable and easier.

Promising but terrible

Lots of interesting content, and some good potential but the timeline Is so buggy I had to give up. ‘Unusable’ is a word that gets thrown about too much but I think it applies here. When trying to move blocks around they just teleport at random or vanish completely which it unforgivable. There’s no way I’m typing real work into something like that.

Good Idea, Terrible Execution

This app is unfortunately buggy and clunky to the point where it is unusable. scrolling along the timeline freezes a ton, which means you can’t move around your project easily If you click on any of the blocks in the timeline, it deletes it, and there is no way to undo this. So, you can spend a bunch of time writing notes on a chapter or scene or plot point, and then try to re-enter it to add notes, or edit, and the program will simply delete the whole thing forever There doesn’t seem to be a way to add internal links between notes and ideas and things There’s no way to customise your project

It says it’s free, it’s not

I saw the app, download for free with in-app purchases. Couldn’t get passed the log in page without a paid subscription.

What a mess

Clunky, clumsy and buggy. I’ve given up after half an hour, it’s so dreadful. Editing characters in the app it lost a character. Had to re-enter them. Then app wouldn’t display the character details when I clicked on them, I had to re-launch the app to edit them. In the plot line I can’t rearrange items in a custom order. The order that I have created them is the order they appear, I can’t go back and drag items up and down. Unbelievable that I’ve had to pay to discover that the app is poor. Save your money and go elsewhere

Buggy, crashes and interface doesn’t fit on screen

The idea is fantastic and I can see real value in it. That said unfortunately the implementation is very buggy and the interface is unwieldy (overflow, z-index issues, buttons that are underneath other elements and therefore inaccessible). It’s a pity. I like the desktop app.

Amazing App but Buggy

This app is the counterpart to the desktop version which is incredible. It has most of the same functionality, except for a couple of irritating bugs (on iPad Air 2): 1. When highlighting text in the RTE with the intent to replace, typing the replacement text does not display or replace. You have to manually delete and re-type. 2. When attempting to scroll the timeline (vertically or horizontally) the app seems to freeze for ages and do nothing, before suddenly you can do it again. If not for the above it would be 5 stars from me.
